I found this diagram on the bronco B&O system which makes it seem close, but the sub wiring shows 2 +/- going to it? Wasn't sure if they had two subs or somehow a dual voice coil

Got a little lazy because of the holidays but these came in and were a quick snap into place

That's the opposite of the intent of this thread and it's not needed. Simple speaker swap had pretty good results. I'm hopefully getting one of the original style B&O maverick amps to see if there's actually any objective differences.
Sure it doesn't change what is now, but I was sold a 660 watt system. If they changed the amp mid-cycle without telling me that does change whether I was scammed or not :)

I'm not disappointed, I just want to push what I have as far as it can go. I've replaced all 8 speakers and it sounds decent and I do hear more lower end frequencies with sub replacement. What settings do you have your eq, fade, volume set to?
What I meant though is the amp that came with...
I was wondering why my experience is different than this though. Goes back to my question on another thread of whether my amp being different is the reason, or if it's the polarity that's being questioned.
I made attempts at covering up the hole with sound deadener mat and separately bass blocker foam. In both cases the output of the sub was diminished, I'm assuming because it was restricting the movement of the sub on the back side. Would that aperiodic membrane not restrict it in the same way?
I found this diagram while poking around on the motorcraft website. That port looks like it points towards the gas tank and at least provides enough resistance for some of the moving air to come back into the cabin, though I'm sure it eventually opens up to the outside around the edges?
If you're using the adapter plate I posted, make sure you figure out a way to get a good seal so air isn't escaping around the sides. I used silicone putty to fill in the gaps the plate leaves near the mounting points. But it is true that to get what I think is reasonable bass, I had to fade...
Here's some wiring diagrams someone posted:

Believe white should go to red and black to black.
I do not understand some people on this forum who go out of their way to post strange opinions like this that do not contribute to the topic at hand. I can only imagine it's some generational difference that compels people to do so. You must be quite fun to ride in a vehicle with, with that...
