It's good to see the Mav doing things like this. I still need to get about 100 square feet of dirt for the garden (3 cubic yard plus a bit?). I figured to line the bed and sided with a couple of tarps to ease the clean up afterwards. Dang, now I have to take off my tonneau. Mmmmph.

Mike, .. I didn't remove my tonneau. I just folded it up against back window The front end loader bucket just fit between the cover and the end of tail gate. Scraped up some overflow, leveled the load, popped up tailgate, and folded down the tonneau and off we went. AWD helped get me out of the mulch pit.

So far haul 2 truck loads of dirt and 1 of river rocks.

One issue I worried of filling it up with tailgate up. On my old F250, when loaded with dirt against the tailgate, couldn’t open it. Too much load against it. Had to dig out some to open it.

Day I hauled dirt and rocks not much against the gate, so could open it.

And I used a HD tarp in the bed for easy cleanup.

Wish I thought of trap idea ! Lots of nooks and crannies for mulch to collect and clean out.

Mine won't fold up to the window. When the tonneau is open, there's one section still attached to the bed with the other two on top of the "base" section. Eh, not difficult to remove (I could probably leave it on, but why take any chances?).
