Looks to me like it was likely just grease caught under the boot/clamp during assembly. There is no way I would look at that little bit of grease and think it's going to fail because of that.
Well to me the good old days aren't that far back.
Also, it's easier to see any problems like leaks or cracks in hoses for example.
I would emagine engine covers would hold in lots of heat on all these rubber and plastic parts too.
Since the cheapo alarm the dealer installed was disconnected I haven't had a deep sleep on the original battery.
Pull the cover off the passenger side fuse panel and see if anything has been wired in.
Lots of dealers put these in in hopes of an upsale.
It's worth a look people.
Anyone have this happen where the power flow app doesn't show the truck graphic just the text?
I don't know when it quit, maybe after the last recall/update or maybe something I did in Forscan. I've been trying to search my USB while moving. I changed everything back to stock but it still...
ya, I'm not comfortable changing that.
Oh, and the steering wheel buttons only do volume. The voice command is a complete joke.
I have my music in folders on the drive, I don't know if there is a way to format the music so the voice command works well.
I confirmed I get the "are you the passenger" when trying search with a passenger, it will search.
I'm thinking about modding the passnger seat but I'm sure it will mod the airbag too.
yes 5753 I seem to remeber 7D0-03 something but I would have to go look to be sure.
voice command seem very limited. I'm not sure about using the wheel buttons. I'll try messing with that.
Well, I bought a year of Forscan and with the new version I see the APIM finally. I did the F150 As built mod for nav in motion. It did NOT work.
I tried some other stuff like changing the country code for it and it would not complete the write.
This is pissing me off.
Any help would be...
Ya, cheaper and simpler would seem the way to go. My point is the control is already there at the BCM with seperate wires. Why put another IC in the headlamp? Obviously the wires are big enough to run the lamp and they are controlled too.
