Well, I think they look pretty sharp, but I would not put 22s on my Maverick... Our roads just suck too much for that to be practical! Too many potholes, raised manhole covers, rough expansion strips on the freeways, etc.
We had 20s (with low-profile tires) on my wife's Impala, until we hit...
Probably true, if you're asking the leasing company to find you one... The ADM really screws up their formulas...
But if you have one on order, it might be possible to arrange for a lease (vs purchase) through an independent leasing company, even if Ford Finance isn't willing to write a lease.
That would depend on both Peruvian law and Ford's policies in Peru. I have zero knowledge on either topic, and doubt many on this forum will have that specific knowledge, either. I would contact Ford and/or a Peruvian consumer advocacy group for better information.
Well, that would suck, but I believe it's no different with a Maverick than with a full-size truck... Highly unlikely that a dealer is going to have a lift-equipped loaner of any kind/size.
I think you need a Plan B, perhaps having a smaller, light-weight foldable wheelchair available for...
So, hybrid owners are reporting anywhere from 26 mpg (worst) to 40 mpg in the cold. Ecoboost is also seeing worse mpg in the cold (22-29 mpg). So I guess if you take the "best" EB mileage and compare to the "worst" hybrid mileage you could make a case... But the super-cold weather is only 3-4...
Faced with uncertainty as to whether either of the two hybrids I have on order will actually get delivered, I opted to pay "extra" for a '22 FE rejected order from a local dealer. It had everything I wanted (including some things I would have added after the fact) and I decided that it was...
My worst mpg with my hybrid so far is 28 mpg, and that was driving in 8-11º weather, into a 20 mph headwind, driving 75+ mph speed limit on the highway. Then three days later, my average for the complete tank is now up to around 36 mpg, with my latest "trip" (only 11 miles) showing 50.4 mpg...
Hmm. I've only ever kept one resolution - to make no more resolutions.
That said, I'm retired, and my wardrobe seems to be migrating towards black pants and red shirts. Don't know why, but my closet certainly reflects that trend...
Many years ago, my wife REALLY wanted a Plymouth minivan (yeah, I know...). We looked at them, but they were rather expensive, so she said "No." About three weeks before Christmas, I was passing the dealership, and saw they had a gold one – the color and equipment were exactly what she wanted...
Try using the other key? If one was set up as a "MyKey" with a speed limitation, the other one should be "normal"...
And if that IS the problem, you can read the manual for info on how to re-set (deregister?) that MyKey back to a normal key.
The MyKey thing might be a good idea for new...
Crazier still, Starbuck$ offers an "Americano" that is basically espresso mixed 50% with hot water. And they charge almost twice as much for the Americano as for an Espresso! It's crazy, but I've seen lots of people ordering them!
(And yeah, I have to admit that I do purchase an occasional...
I ran a couple of errands yesterday, and happened to notice this "trip summary when I stopped. " I wasn't even trying to hypermile - just driving normally in "Eco" mode, with ACC engaged. This was city driving in moderate traffic, with speed limits between 40-45 mph, lots of stop signs...
OK, guys. I understand that's how it is SUPPOSED to work, but I also believe that Ford did not INTEND for the brakes to be grabby at all. I was just trying to share a work-around that appears to prevent the "grabby brakes" in my Maverick. Since I started turning OFF the AutoHold, I've...
You are both 100% correct. I used the wrong terminology. I was talking about AutoHold, not AutoStop. I've corrected my original post, and noted the change.
I DO believe the symptoms are similar enough that there could be a relationship between them. If AutoHold is engaging too early in...
And that's exactly why I decided to go ahead and purchase the Area 51 First Edition Hybrid a local dealer had in stock (refused order)... I figured that having to pay some ADM to get this Maverick that had everything I wanted on it was just "Economic Karma" (see below).
After all, I got WAY...
Here's a chart that shows battery charge state at various voltages for a lead-acid battery:
So if you're reading 12.2 volts, the battery charge state is roughly 60%.
Note that this is with the engine NOT running. (For Hybrid, vehicle is turned OFF.)
