  1. 2024 Wait Time Estimates

6-18 months sounds about right!! Dealers have no idea......there is really no way to know. It all depends on allocation and constraints. And what % of their allocation is taken up by rollovers. What to we know? 24 Maverick production starts in mid-October 2023, and is set to continue into...
  2. Price protection

Sale price is btw customer and the dealership. If a vehicles ordered retail in a customer's name is sold to that customer, then Ford will protect the price of the dealer's invoice (less any change in the fuel change). So price protection is for the dealer. It is designed so that the dealer...
  3. Price protection

PEP pkg is basically the trim level (XL, XLT, lariat). Making changes to trim level or powertrain are major changes to an order, and are basically considered making a new order rather than modifying an existing one.
  4. Change Order - Ques.

So, you are still unscheduled? You are talking about a 24 order? Did Ford automatically promote you to priority 02 yet? Your dealer will have to change the priority in order to make changes. They'd have to try and get their rep to manually move you back to 02 after that.
  5. No sport mode

No Sport mode w/ FX4 Off-Rd Pkg. FX4 also doesn't have Eco. But you get mud & ruts and sand instead.
  6. Short Oil Life

Owner's manual says never to exceed 1 year between oil changes.... I think the monitor is also taking time into account!
  7. Dealerships can't get Maverick unless special ordered?

Stock and retail orders would both be the same model year......
  8. Priority Change

Good question! I'm not sure. US dealers can access warranty information for Canadian vehicles (since the Canadian warranty applies if serviced in the US), but I've never been able to access any info on the sales end. I wouldn't think that there would be any differences btw USA & Canada here...
  9. MPG DROPPED BY 10

Your MPG will get worse when the winter blend gas comes.
  10. Priority Change

No, dealer can change priority codes for retail orders between 3-19 (before a few months ago, this was just 10-19). It is up to the dealer to assign priority codes to their orders (based on whatever criteria they decided upon).
  11. Price protection rant.

No physical check is sent to the dealer....just credited to the dealer electronically.
  12. Price protection rant.

No, nothing you can fill out. You'll just have to ask them ahead of time if they're willing to extend the price protection to you. Oh, and you are getting a 24. So no price protection for that (since you'll certainly be invoiced at the initial pricing level for 24MY Mav). You should get the...
  13. Price protection rant.

Price protection is technically price protection of the dealer's invoice cost. It was designed so that the dealer can honor their original deal with the customer, but the dealer is not required to pass this on to the customer. Some dealers offer it automatically. Some need to be reminded. Some...
  14. General Question - Window Sticker Arrival vs Actual Build Day

The window stickers are generated when the vehicle is invoiced to the dealer. Usually 7-10 days before the build date. I don't know for sure when that is sent to the customer..... If you message me w/your VIN, I'll try looking up your window sticker for you.
  15. 38,000 mile summary. BEWARE: ISSUES GALORE!

Have you tried going for a test drive w/ someone from the service department, so you can show them what the issue is?? YOU drive. If the engine surge happens then, they can certainly observe it. And you both will know it. You still have powertrain coverage.
  16. Winter handling

I put Blizzak WS90s on my hybrid Mav last winter, and was very happy with how it handled in snow and ice (near Buffalo NY). I used slippery mode when roads were snowy/slushy/icy.
  17. Finance Rates and Private Offer

There were no special Ford rates offered on 2023 Maverick (that I have seen at least). I don't expect there to be on 24 Maverick either. Your 24 is a new order, so even if you did have a protected rate on your 23 order, it wouldn't be extended to the 24.
  18. @FordMotorCo, what happened to the plan to prioritize the older, outstanding orders?

Ford changed allocation strategy in fall of 22. Previously to that (mostly due to COVID), Ford had been granting allocation for retail orders that were approved by COVP. So for the 2022 Maverick (and other 2022 vehicles), dealers were under the understanding that if they took a valid retail...
  19. No response from Ford 2023 to 2024 Maverick order

You dealer has to enter your email address in a specific place in WBDO in order for you to get notifications from Ford. You dealer may have forgotten.... or maybe there's a typo there?
  20. X plan pricing on 2024 Maverick Lariat?

It isn't a set amount. It is calculated based on the invoice price.
