Priority Change

First, this is a great site! Next, I have read a lot on this site about priority. My question is, the dealer has me at a priority 19, which I have learned just sucks. I understand priority relates to my order preference at the dealer also, but they have about a dozen orders already and I'm concerned my order is just at the end of that pecking order, in general terms, not discounting the scheduling Ford days based on availability or parts and such. I called the dealer and asked if they could change my priority so something less than 10. They told me no, that Ford is not allowing that any longer to prevent manipulation of the process and anything less than a 10 is for MY23 to MY24. So, a few questions. Is what they are saying really the case? Also, can I put in another order with another dealer while I still have this order active? Thanks for all your help. - K

No, dealer can change priority codes for retail orders between 3-19 (before a few months ago, this was just 10-19). It is up to the dealer to assign priority codes to their orders (based on whatever criteria they decided upon).

Good question! I'm not sure.

US dealers can access warranty information for Canadian vehicles (since the Canadian warranty applies if serviced in the US), but I've never been able to access any info on the sales end.

I wouldn't think that there would be any differences btw USA & Canada here, but I can't be certain.
