  1. Add a manual transmission to the Ford Maverick. Bring it back manual transmissions..

No matter what you want, the sales facts for a long time have shown less than 6% of buyers go with a manual. A friend of mine put a manual in an Excursion, so it can be done!
  2. My one regret. No adaptive cruise

With decades of using plain vanilla cruise control, I’m still happy with just that and not the adaptive type. Not a fan of lane keeping either, but of course they are all good safety features if you like them.
  3. Engine air filter change at 30000kms

Looks like a good decision! New air filters are cheap insurance.
  4. Dealer pulling intake because of misfire codes

cylinders 2 and 4 are misfiring. I don't know if this engine has 2+4 on the same cycle, but if so that could be a clue to diagnose the misfire. I'd guess they're just asking about the exhaust to find out all the info they can to narrow down the possible causes.
  5. Ford hits monthly hybrid sales record with Maverick Hybrid as best-selling hybrid pickup so far in 2024

-Happy with my 23 Hybrid XLT, bought off a dealership lot last August. -Also, the 2024 XL Hybrid I ordered when the books opened last summer just arrived here at Rock Hill Ford in South Carolina today! However I'm just keeping the 23, so if you are looking for a very base (no options other than...
  6. barely feel heat on mk8 flat bottom steering wheel

I don't suppose there's any chance a Euro car part is wired for Euro electricity?
  7. Photos of local track day event in my Maverick Sport Truck.

Track days are a blast, but I'd always recommend a helmet.
  8. Brake issues after recall updates?

No problems here, just curious if anyone with problems asked the dealer to go over it.
  9. 840 Miles • 1 Tank Fuel • Hybrid Maverick

3/4 of a tank and the readout said 50.2mpg. With the amount I put in the tank it was more like 47.9mpg. I was happy the miles to empty would have been 666.
  10. Thinking about giving up

Dang man, there’s 2 choices in life: 1: if you’re stressed, remove the stress and get another vehicle. They all have recalls by the way. 2: from stress management training when I was deployed to Iraq: EVERYONE CATASTROPHISES! You just need to move on to step 2 and realize that it is more likely...
  11. Old Summer Wheels

    13 year old tires? Ouch.
  12. Post Recall Updates!

All updates on hybrid, no problems
  13. F-150 lug nuts fit Ford Mavericks! and is a 10th of the cost

$10 lug nuts? Well it is April Fools Day. $1.88/each at Rock Auto
  14. Tire Pressure Question

Yes. New vehicles typically have higher pressures for some reason. It almost always makes sense to go with the manual.
  15. Does horn honk when tires fill to correct air pressure?

Maverick doesn’t have it. I’d never heard of this before and don’t need it.
  16. Gas Tank Door

OR…it’s a rare nuclear powered engine and you never need to open the fuel door until in 30 years it’s time to de-fuel and re-fuel the reactor. You know, like an aircraft carrier!:ROFLMAO:
  17. Dealership forgot to tighten skid plate after oil change, photos of skid plate wanted!

I’d guess that the newest techs are working the quick lane oil changes, not an excuse, but it explains a lot. Hopefully the service writer is letting them know they need to do better.
