You state the parking brake fault light went out? That makes it sound like there is no parking brake problem, so that makes me think the problem is start/stop.
Sounds confusing, maybe it’s new and covered by warranty…
other than that, if the problem is dual zone related, then there probably a blend door not working right.
Thought about this while driving today. For what it’s worth I just drive with my right foot angled from the heel on the floor with toes pointed right, away from brake pedal. Feels normal.
Other thought, if you’re automatic: left foot braking.
I’d say document your side and start with the service manager to set them straight, take it up with Ford. Sounds like they’re just trying to pad their income with unnecessary repairs.
I’m only on 10,000 miles with no issues. Just curious if this affects steering or anything else?
By this time the techs should have it figured out. Worst case they determine a “noise” isn’t a “fault.”
If it makes the truck uncomfortable then Ford needs to step up here and make it right.
I’m an auto tech student so my thoughts are worth what you paid, but seems odd to “shotgun” parts focused on camshafts but not crankshaft.
Regardless, hope the fix takes care of it.
The Castrol folks disagree with your statement about 0W-20.
WHAT TYPE OF OIL IS A 0W-20?
To make a 0W-20, high quality base oils and strong additives are needed. The base oils must be able to protect and flow at very low temperatures. Typically, a large amount of synthetic oil is needed to...
I agree with the few folks that pointed out no codes...software and sensors can go wonky. Revving up to redline with no shift for no reason? Get it checked now.
If I understand the original post
A: pulled right
B: rotated tires
C: then it pulled left
If so, then I’ll guess it’s the tires, assuming the rotation swapped left and right.
An Easy/free way to confirm: rotate them right back and see if the pull goes back to the right!
cheaper than going...
Since it's an electronic parking brake, I'd have to guess there is a sensor acting up somewhere.
I don' t know the electric diagram specifics, but just MAYBE if the sensor is on one fuse, and the parking brake is on a DIFFERENT fuse, you could probably help find out if it's the sensor by...
I'd second the summer formula gas as the one variable that might have made the difference.
We just did a drive from SC to Michigan too, so you probably noticed not to buy gas in NC or Virginia since the other states are usually cheaper!
