  1. RealTruck and Extang bed cover delayed

The real issue is timing. I got my Extang from RealTruck early in the month and it was available as a rapidship and got here on the 7th. Timing is everything when it comes to realtruck.
  2. Maverick AWD vs Santa Cruz Offroad - TFL Video

i think they were confused when they said dual clutch. The dual clutch transmission is not good for off-roading. What people are thinking on here was the torque vectoring or twin-clutch AWD system that is a very good off-road system in an AWD vehicle and that is what the Bronco Sport Badlands...
  3. If Not Maverick What Vehicle Would You Have Bought?

I probably would have gone for the Hyundai Santa Cruz if the Maverick was not going to happen. I been desiring a compact truck for a while. I rode in a the new Ranger and did not like it much. I was also considering a Ford Bronco, but knew all the ordering and supply problems people are still...
  4. Anyone else buy an EB WITHOUT AWD?

I have an ecoboost with FWD I found on a lot after I cancelled an order for a hybrid I had ordered in July. I live in North Florida so AWD isn’t the biggest deal in the world for me. My truck usually averages 33.5 mpg when I hand calculate it. I do a lot of country driving so I don’t think...
  5. Make your own Maverick bed tie-downs: DIY bed side rail tutorial by Ford

I just went with eyebolts instead of rails because I knew I was only going to strap a light weight cooler in and maybe something else in a pinch. What gets me in this process is that Fordā€˜s videos on these bolt holes were incorrect because they said to use M6 bolts when they are M8 x 32. I am...
  6. Make your own Maverick bed tie-downs: DIY bed side rail tutorial by Ford

Some people on here had mentioned that those eyebolts alone might not be a great idea if you are strapping really heavy items and cause damage to the bed, but I only strap my cooler to it.
  7. WeatherTech 2nd row is ready!

I just got the rear one (weathertech) today and installed it. A perfect, snug fit!
  8. Maverick AWD vs Santa Cruz Offroad - TFL Video

i guess you get what Ford gives you. I guess it would be more fair to basically test a Maverick with Michelin tires against a Santa Cruz with the same tires, even though they are all season.
  9. Maverick AWD vs Santa Cruz Offroad - TFL Video

They did not have off-road tires at all. Both had Michelin Primacy tires, which are wonderful on road tires with long tire life, but they are not off road tires at all. Remember, that Maverick they used was NOT FX4. The Dual-Clutch transmission in the Santa Cruz is a transmission is...
  10. Maverick AWD vs Santa Cruz Offroad - TFL Video

The only thing I could see being a problem with the unibody pickup is that it has independent suspension in the back, compared to a solid axle on the Canyon. The Canyon articulated less, even though all three have similar ground clearance numbers. The thing that imp rested me on the Maverick...
  11. Car and Driver instrument tested review: Maverick 2.0 AWD does 0-60 in 5.9 seconds!

I think the best test was the one from Motorweek. They got a 6.2 in 0-60 on a track. I think in the real world with an average joe, an AWD ecoboost Maverick with 4K towing will probably do 6.5-7.0 second 0-60.
  12. Unable to disable seat belt chime

For me, I don’t mind the beeps since I always put my seat belt on, but what annoys me is this seat belt screen that pops up when you have it on or running that shows who is belted and even if you, and if anyone else around you, is belted and this thing stays up until you push ok on the...
  13. Extang Trifecta 2.0 soft-fold tonneau cover installed

the main issue to look for when installing it is being able to align the left and right side evenly so that clamps will tighten well on both sides.
  14. Extang Trifecta 2.0 soft-fold tonneau cover installed

not a problem at all, up you will not need to grind off any plastic on this. The bed and plastic (as well as the spray in bed liner all end at the same point. No cutting needed
  15. Extang Trifecta 2.0 soft-fold tonneau cover installed

Here is more of what I mean about how to fit the cover right.., the lip on the bottom of the tonneau cover should touch and be flush with the lip on the back plastic tail but not sit on top of it.
  16. Extang Trifecta 2.0 soft-fold tonneau cover installed

Realtruck.com gave me a 10% discount at the time I ordered it; I think it was because they kept getting delays on Gator version of the tonneau cover since most people order the cheapest one.
  17. Extang Trifecta 2.0 soft-fold tonneau cover installed

I have reattached it a few times and find the best fit is in the back near the tailgate. The bottom of the tonneau cover has a lip at the back and it should touch the lip of the trucks plastic rail in the back, but not sit on it. i think that is what you did too. I will eventually take a pic...
  18. Car and Driver instrument tested review: Maverick 2.0 AWD does 0-60 in 5.9 seconds!

I have a Maverick with the ecoboost and the 8 speed auto and it does shift pretty smoothly. That surprised me because my last vehicle was a 2020 Escape with the 1.5L ecoboost and the 8 speed and that 8 speed constantly hunted gears and even started downshifting from 5th to 4th harshly to the...
  19. Maverick iPhone CarPlay apps?

I have found that CarPlay apps are rather limited and they can be good or bad based on how good or bad the apps themselves are. I find the worst app I have is Spotify and it sucks on CarPlay too. But apple podcasts work very well. I have 3 map apps, being Apple Maps, google maps, and wave. I...
  20. Fuel tank capacity

That is interesting because even the recent Maverick Order Guide shows slightly different numbers
