I have seen the cost of replacing the steering wheel if you want leather wrapped. I find it is about $300-$400 range. just google this part number for the leather wrapped wheel with the correct cc controls and nothing else that you do not need. M1PZ-3600-CA

did you have to do anything about taping the clockspring? I read on other posts about having to tape it when you take the wheel off.

I think you can upgrade the wheels on the XL with 4K towing but only in Canada. There is an upgrade package for Canadian Mavericks that is not available in the U.S. You may see videos on YouTube talking about an XL upgrade but it may be Canadian.

it sounds like the real challenge is the software end of this installation. I found the right and the left steering wheel controls on various ford website fairly inexpensive. I even found if you want to replace the steering wheel with a leather wrapped one can find that easily.
