why is the insurance higher, never heard that? I would strongly consider a hybrid with a bigger electric motor/battery and awd to match the ecoboost, but as it is configured today with fwd only I wouldnt really consider owning one.
You never know, I finished all the paperwork on a wed, called transport company that day, they picked up on thurs, got the truck fri...so it could go quick just need some luck.
Here is the Feetuo one. Fit pretty good, hardware was ok not great, had one broken rollup plastic clip out of the box but it came with an extra so not sure about those but seems good once installed. It does flap around at speed but cant hear it.
I wonder if they are doing it so you have some cooling in the event the system fails closed? And to be clear the active shutter system is there they just removed a couple of rows.
I think the op is asking if some of the grill shutters on the eco were removed from the factory like they did on the hybrid fire recall. So I just looked, and it appears two shutters have been removed, one on top, one on the bottom. both second from the bottom. I dont know if they were...
I saw that one but it had zero reviews at the time so I went with the FEETUO one for $10 more. they are probably identical and made in the same china factory though. Supposed to be here today.

Thanks for that review of the two engines. Nice to hear an unbiased and honest view of them, hard to find these days. If they offer the hybrid in a phev and awd I will likely take a hard look at them, but very impressed with my eco awd so far.
This sounds like a good solution unless the price is outrageous. What is the name of the company, I might ask them if they have plans for one. Just looking at that felt cover under there makes me cringe.
I have these on my new XL AWD, looked at the tread closely today, never really paid attention to them to be honest, but they sure do look pitiful to put on an AWD truck, kinda annoys me that you dont get more aggressive tires with the AWD option, same passenger car tires that are on the FWD.
I understand not wanting to take it to a shop for an oil change, can take forever and usually some kid doing it thats not paying attention to the job. Anyway, I will prob just cut some access holes in the underneath engine cover for the filter/plug and use some ramps. Not to pry but do you...
