I bought my SD right before covid so prices werent crazy yet but I know there were huge supply issues shortly after and they havent been able to keep up with demand, not unlike the Mav. SDs are typically used for commercial/industrial applications but also have a big following with RV tow...
Thanks for the tip, I may go ahead and check today in forscan, think there are a few settings I can play with...havent used it since I got my super duty a couple years ago so prob need to get the license upgraded. Is anyone keeping a spreadsheet of all the forscan changes you can make, I know...
Seriously doubt it was replaced by the dealer, I just got the truck last week. Here is a pic of the battery, maybe its because I have AWD and 4K tow, dunno.
Just got back from my first "spirited drive" in the truck on a curvy road and wow its a quick little thing in sport mode, it holds gears longer and you can really hear the turbo spooling. The road was a little wet and was interesting watching the intelligent AWD screen... in normal it would...
I went ahead and purchased this. While the auto stop/start is not extremely annoying I just want it to remember when I turn it off for it to stay off until reenabled, this device accomplishes that. And if I'm in a situation where I'd like to use it I can turn it back on. Ford should have made...
The factory one does look ridiculous but I feel like these stubbys should be a $10 item at most, they are just gonna degrade the signal. Screwing a flang bolt in that sits flush would prob do the same thing.
I mentioned this earlier as I tracked mine with FordPass as it was transported from Granger to my house, but it will only update location when the truck is turned on (and likely moved around on the trailer to pickup/dropoff other cars on the trailer) Everything is fine you are gonna get it :)
Are you saying you tried to get $3k off the X-plan price? Not heard anyone mention or try that yet. I could have paid cash but took the 0% as its just interest free money with no strings (usually you forfeit a rebate or something but not in this case), you can still pay it off whenever you want.
ATI and RDS make transfer tanks DOT rated for gasoline. Think they will custom make one the size you want as well. It does need a pump rated for gasoline and has to be installed in the top of the tank.
Sorry to hear that, that was my fear buying/driving from Granger 1000 miles away so I had it shipped via transport. Figured the mostly likely time to have a failure is in the 1st 1000 miles and didnt want to be far from home when it happened, sounds like you almost made it back so thats good...
