So if the other post about the guy getting his mav after cold calling them on an incoming truck and it turns out to be legit (and it seems like it is) ...it just proves that they are making zero attempt to make the op whole on the deal. Not surprising and may actually be worse than a made up...
So they sold a random person a mav at x plan price off the transport truck while the dude that got screwed at the SAME dealership is still waiting to be made whole on his debacle... Does seem a bit interesting.
The hybrid is going to be the same as any other FWD car/sedan you have used in the snow, tires are gonna make the difference.
It is odd that the AWD snow report threads tend to wind up being mostly Hybrid owners talking about how good they do in the snow with a mpg report thrown in for good...
Ive seen these front tow bar setups that look like they would work for tow hooks but they are pricey. Looks like it could potentially be even stronger than the FX4 hooks the way it connects across both uniframe rails. If nothing else it shows someone could easily come up with tow hook brackets...
Thanks to the OP, decided to try some hubcaps on mine. Went with the FX-Poor version  Think they will work until I wear out the stock tires. 30 bux at walmart and a can of plastidip to blackout the steelies and all done.
The messed up thing is that they actually want you to walk away and they have a signed doc that says you are good with the add on garbage fees. Dealer has all the leverage here so best thing, if you want the truck, is to try and get them to lower the crap pack and light them up in reviews and...
Id like to see the FWD hybrid busting through some 12" snow as well :) Fwd can do well in the snow, just dont lose momentum on a hill or get in a tricky situation with traffic, AWD is far more forgiving, thats for sure.
Same here but Im on 1.9. Tried soft reset and checked for updates multiple times and nothing. My other Ford truck updates fine so its not my wifi. Im thinking you may need an older version before it allows an update or my forscan changes are screwing with it?
I'd assume this is not the first time this dealer/gm have pulled a stunt like this, just probably never got a forum to lash out at them to this degree. Anyway, they probably don't give a rats ass and will go back to business as usual, slow playing the situation for a few weeks and hoping op...
Yup, and the biggest factor is the driver. Always get a chuckle when I see people perplexed that they are getting horrible mpg when they are likely slamming on the brakes, tailgating, and flooring it most of the time. There are so many variables with mpg its hardly worth discussing, yet...
When Granger offered $3k off MSRP I did a doubletake and basically bought without thinking lol. Would have even been a decent deal in the good ol days, thats around 15% off MSRP on the base models. This ADM stuff happening these days is not something I hope to ever be a part of... of course...
