Not likely to help much but all wheels pulling is always better than 2 for traction. The problem with hydroplaning is that you typically lose the steering which is going to be a problem either way.
A very pragmatic approach. I suspect many people buying hybrids are wowed by the city mpg and not looking at it from a personal cost of use standpoint. For many people it just doesnt add up to much savings for their application unless you are doing very high city mileage.... if you are going...
Yep, seen it over and over again. Ford won't do anything until they are selling and servicing vehicles directly, until then they will let dealers do what they want as long as vehicles get sold. Makes me really appreciate the honest dealers like Granger, where I got mine drama free.
This always makes me wonder if there is a big need to keep the valves clean of carbon? I have seen several ecoboosts in the 200k range that have never had any sort of cleaning or catch can, Im sure they might have some efficiency gains from a cleaning but at that point other components of the...
I got this working, but doesnt seem to do much if anything, does look cool tho. Watching the video above of the hybrid, my eco doesnt change rapidly like that while driving, seems very subtle.

I put a set of these on our gx470, they are 265/65-17 which is sort of oddball size. They look good but do roar a little more than the street michelin ltx they replaced. Will be interesting to see how they hold up, considering getting some 245s for the mav.
I emailed them and they weren't very interested it seems. Maybe if more people inquire it would help. See below:
We haven’t had any opportunity to investigate the maverick. At this time we have no plans in the works, but maybe someday in the future.
My XL has been doing this, random and annoying as hell. I think a poster above is correct that it's some sort of timing thing in the computer. Need to see if I can totally disable the double honk in forscan.
Yea my other truck has the new ford 7.3 gas burner with a pushrod v8 and port injection, about as old school as you can get these days so I dont worry about it much, will have to keep my eye on this little turbo, sure is fun to drive though, other than the noisy clatter of the direct injection.
