Man sounds like some weird stuff going on. I think this all came about (frigging nightmare to be honest) by using two stage authentication. Without it you can use any phone as long as you can download the Ford App.

As mentioned before the main concern would be the spotlights interfering with CoPilot 360.

On my 24 Tremor XLT there is a Screen option under Menu called Intelligent AWD. It shows on the dash the power going to all four wheels at any given time. Simpler than mounting a camara under the Truck.

I trade my girlfriend in every year. Keeps things fresh.

In addition to the tonneau cover I would recommend a tailgate damper (aka tailgate assist). A bit fiddly to install, but worth every penny.
