Heck, that road looks pretty darn good to me! The county road leading to our "private road" was worse than that one.
That "private road" was shared between 4 families. It's condition varied a lot depending on the season (rain / snow were tough on it) and how it was used... It could be...
That procedure is clearly described in the owner's manual - page 101.
Lots of good info in the manual, if people would only read it... (Of course, I'm equally guilty of failing to find pertinent info in the manual... )
That was true for my '22 Lariat as well. It was set to the lowest light level initially, and I had to crank it up. For me, the ambient lighting was something I wasn't all that excited about, but it turns out to be something I really appreciate. I can actually see where I dropped that quarter!
I test drove an Insight when they first came out. At the time, I had a 40-minute commute to work - mostly on city streets – and it would have been ideal for that... Except for the fact that the AC cut off when the engine did it's "auto-stop" thing... With outside air temps hovering above...
YEAH! Mazda nailed it! The Wankel rotary is perfect for that application. Too bad we're not getting that one here in the US in 2023... (Or ever? No word on that.)
I always liked the rotary's smoothness. I almost bought an original RX-7 when they came out, but I was given orders for Korea...
Yeah, the Volt was probably the closest "real" car to that guy's design. But Chevy just couldn't bring themselves to do away with the heavy transmission and drive train that would have made it even lighter and a better vehicle overall. They didn't think the world was ready for that...
My...
Yeah, I do remember that one, and being initially excited until I read the specs... Even BMW referred to the engine/generator combo as only a "range extender," meaning that it could not generate enough electricity to offset what was being consumed in even normal city driving. The 2-gallon gas...
Many, many years ago, I read an article in Popular Mechanics (or Popular Science - not sure which) about a guy who had developed a powertrain that would use a relatively small gasoline engine optimized to run at a specific RPM (for optimal fuel efficiency). That engine would supply the power to...
If mine comes in, I'll be driving about 1350 miles to bring it home. Some of that admittedly is to sight-see along the way, and taking some back roads that are more "fun" than just driving on I-40 and other heavily-travelled freeways... Besides, the Mav Hybrid loves backroads!
There is a thread elsewhere here on MTC that discusses the detailed steps to add ACC. No point in duplicating that information here. Should be easy to find with search.
Others have complained about this, but it has not been a big issue for me. Yes, the lights could be brighter, but you're not going to miss seeing the kid's tricycle because the lights are too dim... You might miss the Frisbee, though...
This is exactly why I wanted the tailgate assist - to keep my little grandson (who LOVES the Maverick) from bonking himself on the head with it. Well, that and the fact that my wife tends to let it "flop" down instead of easing it. (She's used to our Chevy full-size pickups that had the...
As long as you have either Wi-Fi or AT&T cell coverage, you can remote start using the FordPass app, even if you don't have remote start on your key fob.
I walked out of a meeting the other day, talking with a lady and her daughter. As I walked to my Maverick, and noticed there was a Cactus Gray XL parked next to me - the first time I'd seen another one parked at all, much less next to mine.
As I got closer to it, the lady I was talking with...
But for every "My '77 Buick lasted forever" story, there's another one about one that rusted out after a year... Anecdotes are not data - they're just anecdotes based on one item and one person. And that's the problem with basically ALL internet forums (this one included). Negative voices...
