I wonder if the sensors were properly re-calibrated when the windshield was replaced? It is my understanding that this is a required step to ensure your ACC, Lane Centering, etc. will work properly. It makes sense because the camera is mounted up by the rear-view mirror, and is used in...
Actually, there were two pages posted, one for "regular" CC (pg 213) and the other for ACC (pg 219). Both are correct for the type of cruise control referenced.
Incorrect. That is for standard cruise control. (Page 213 of the manual)
Page 219 of the manual is for the Adaptive CC, and the expected (intended) behavior is quite different. In the Army, we used to say "RTFM!" (Short for Read The Funny Manual - OK, not really Funny, but this IS a...
Actually, it probably IS normal... Here's what the manual says in the section about Adaptive Cruise Control (pg 219):
Manually Changing the Set Speed:
Press and release the toggle button upward to increase the set speed in small increments.
Press and hold the toggle button upward to increase...
I agree it can be a tough decision. I was lucky enough to find a rejected '22 Lariat Hybrid First Edition at a local dealer, and also fortunate enough to make enough by selling my Prius-C (well above what I thought it was worth) to offset the ADM required to close the deal.
I still have two...
Exactly! You'll hear a "ding" sound, and the lane-centering icon will be yellow, and there will be a popup (which rather quickly goes away on its own) stating "Lane Centering disabled" (or very similar). Then 2-3 seconds later, you'll look down and it has re-engaged (icon is now green)...
Well, speed is a relative term... When it comes to hydroplaning, increasing speed would tend to aggravate hydroplaning as you said, but decreasing speed would tend to alleviate hydroplaning. I believe the latter is what @MinntoMich intended.
Uh oh... This is hitting pretty close to home for me... One of my Maverick orders is with Ted Russell Ford. I was also dealing with a great saleswoman who left the company, and my order was also handed off to another salesman that I'd never had any contact with before, and who has been pretty...
Good question... Since there appears to be excess capacity at the plant in Hermosillo, the main constraint would appear to be limitations in the supply chain.
I suspect the biggest issue with the supply chain is that they severely under-predicted the number that would be sold, and placed all...
You won't easily mix them up the 6-way seat levers in any way that matters... At least not after the first time you do so!
The fore/aft lever is actually a bar running behind your knees, across the width of the seat. When you pull up on it, the seat is released to move freely fore and aft...
It was only my favorite when one or more of Charlie's Angels were in it... With any of the three Angels onboard, it was a very attractive vehicle. Otherwise it was distinctly uninspiring.
It means "Keep looking for a rejected order Maverick at a dealer near you, because your odds are still less than 50% for your Hybrid Maverick to be built in 2023."
Wow! I must be going blind! Sorry about that! I go through the "new posts" list and open a bunch of threads in new tabs, then go through them one by one... I just realized that the thread titles NEVER show in that scenario!
For inching up behind another car (or in my case - closing in on the water softener in my garage), I found that turning "AutoHold" OFF (toggle the right-most button at the rear of the center console - the one that looks like a "hand" surrounded by parentheses) prevented the "lurch" to a stop and...
