Interesting. Pulling the fuse and waiting a minute should have produced the exact same results, unless it was some other module that also needed reboot.
If you are driving a hybrid like it should be driven, you should barely ever get pad on rotor contact. Hybrids can and regularly do go 150k+ miles on the original brakes if drivers are always going for max-regen.
So it baffles me that the rotors would be warped and pads cracked after 9k miles...
A review from the 303 "Interior Cleaner" page at Amazon shows similar damage experienced by another customer.
I would avoid any product but water inside and if you want a shine on any surface, use the old school, tried and true armor-all sprayed onto a rag never directly sprayed onto a surface...
You would need to sand and polish it and perhaps final clear coat it, much like one does with a clouded headlight.
I would try on the shift knob first. I am not sure I would do it on the instrument cover. I don't think you will ever get it as clear you would like it to be by doing a polishing...
If you dont have room for one big one, two in parallel isn't a bad way to go. But if one goes bad, it will suck the life out of the other one.
So if you were going to install two, you might consider just keeping one on standby and have a way to cut over to it.
Unless you needed long unattended...
This has happened to other people. If the dealer reuses an order code, someone gets screwed.
IIRC Tim @ Long McArthur may have covered it in a Youtube video
Get detailed pictures of the damage before any repairs were made. Understanding what damage was done is just as if not more important than what it looks like after they repair it.
You wont even know what to look for or where to look unless you know exactly what damage was done.
Alerting him after the vehicle dies and leaves him in the middle of the road - that's the holy grail of automotive tech you've been waiting for all your life?? 🤡
Forget a floor pan replacement - I don't see it happening. Weld in some patches and call it a day. Good enough for airplanes and good enough for your floor pan.
I paid nearly $6k less than MSRP, got a $1,000 instant rebate on top of that for coming from Ford (Conquest Rebate), and got a 2.9%/60mo finance from American Honda. Also got 8yr/100k bumper to bumper warranty extension (factory HondaCare warranty) for $1,800.
Loving this truck more every day...
Sold the 2023 Maverick Hybrid and bought a 2023 Ridgeline Black Edition. I only drive 2K or maybe 3K miles a year and wont miss the extra fuel economy too much.
I will keep an eye on the Mav development and maybe in 3 or 4 more years they'll get it dialed in, hopefully with a MSRP still under...
