So, I sat in a 2021 Escape with the 10-way adjustable seat. From the brief time I had in it, it appears as though the seat mechanism would be a direct swap for those that are wanting to get some under-thigh adjustment. I think someone else posted here that the 20-21 Escapes have the 10-way seat...
It is. I'm wondering if the escape seat would allow the same distance rearward but give me the extra seat height to help pull my leg farther from the pedals.
Lol. 36" inseam. The main issue is that the brake pedal is like 2-3" closer to the driver than the gas pedal. This vehicle almost rewards driving with 2 feet. My left leg can fully stretch out in-between the dead pedal and the brake, but my right leg is taking a beating.
I am finding that there is plenty of legroom for my left leg, especially beyond the dead pedal, but I'm finding that my right leg is getting fatigued and sore on longer commutes - the transition from gas to brake is giving me shin splints in city traffic. Lol.
There seems to be almost an excess...
Is there programming in forscan that modulates the temperature of the wheel? My Maverick's OEM heated wheel gets nice and hot for all of 5-10 min and then stops. It never reaches that initial hot temp again, it cycles between off (no noticable heat) or warm. Have you experienced something...
1. Maybe. You changed models, so you might not qualify. But even if you did...
2. Dealership/salesman could care less about it. There's a hybrid on the lot and he could get another $5k+ for it if you don't want it.
3. No one. Ford will blame the dealership, the dealership will blame Ford. No...
Yeah, the dealers don't care and Ford made it unnecessarily complicated to get the private offer so they don't have to give out any money. It's a win-win for both of them and a big middle finger to us.
Just like the title says. The locking mechanism is made of cheap Chinese garbage pot metal. No way this would survive cold weather or any length of time. I'm pretty sure the TipTop one is exactly the same, so I won't be getting that.
Yes, I know it was cheap, but I was hoping that it would at...
Dealership tried to scam me with a 7.8% rate when the same exact bank directly offered me 6.4%. Credit union is probably still the best thing next to cash as they were at 4.25%. Unfortunately non-promotional rates are terrible right now.
I'm quite familiar with heated steering wheels, and this is noticably different. It gets nice and toasty, then completely turns off to room temp, then maybe warms up a bit, then cools down, then repeats. But it never gets back to the original heat that it initially started with. Other Ford's...
I've experienced the same thing. It's almost like the steering wheel only gets hot when the gas engine is running. It's initially hot, then cools back down, then warms up, then cools down...
Also, the heated seats/wheel only come on with key in the ignition after remote start.
Just a PSA, once your VIN generates, if you haven't already, make sure you're confirming your private offer either with Ford marketing or your dealership. If they don't see it then start hounding your dealership.
Ford customer service and marketing will be of no help. The dealership has no incentive to help you by contacting their "inventory specialist" since they know if you don't want it, they will have no problem selling it to someone else with a nice ADM.
It probably won't hurt to at least file a...
If I'm able to later tonight, I'll try and take some pictures of them, but from my installation, there wasn't sufficient PPF to prevent the same marks as caused by the OEM ones. Of course it could be perfectly fine, it's too early to tell.
