What they'll do is simply refuse to do the work and note in their documentation that the customer did not allow them to do the prep needed to complete the repair.
The post you're replying to is like that Bourne Convention garbage that was going around on Facebook a while ago. Sad that people...
I've had more people ask me questions about my $21K truck than my $50K car.
People ask about the bed size, the mileage and whether I like the truck. I tell them that it's good for what I need and a used 10 year old ranger with 50K miles on it only would have saved me $2-3K.
I would have gotten black matte spray paint and used that. Would it be perfect? Nope. Good enough considering it would get banged on again? Absolutely.
I'm going to do my best to not damage the truck but if it gets nicks and dings while it's being used I'm not going to worry about it.
You remind me of working with my contractor.
"Hey, yeah, we didn't get the shipment we were supposed to so we're not going to be able to come in tomorrow."
"Good, I'll sleep in and not have to let you guys in at 5 AM."
Followed soon by "good news. We got the shipment but they raised the...
We both use them to get supplies for our businesses. And after two and a half months, I'm pleased with my Maverick. It does what I bought it for and does it well.
If the F-150 EV is the Lightning then...
Maybe the hybrid is the Thunder?

It's not just the Maverick. It's the Maverick Thunder.
Yeah, it's not like other car companies are having this problem or anything.
Especially not the one that people around here seem to point to add the one who does things right.

I guess I should...
How dare you inject actual facts and knowledge into people's rants.
This forum has become more like watching the drunks at the end of the bar scream "hit the ball" when they're watching a baseball game than something that imparts actual knowledge and information.
Thanks for being one of the...
Yes. If I wanted to spend $38K on a truck I'd have bought the F-150 Lightning. It's more truck than I need and twice the price of the Maverick, but if I'm going to piss away money on something I don't need, why not go with something that's going to save me money in the long term? I'd deal with...
What, you don't think they'll be doing this to their Ridgeline?
Ten bucks says that truck will never see dirt other than when the guy driving it pulls it onto his lawn.
No thanks. There's no place to plug it in where I park it. And while I don't like $6 a gallon gas, what I'd like even less is waiting for an hour for it to charge up versus ten minutes, including waiting in the line at Costco.
I won't buy an electric vehicle until I can charge it up fully as...
Well, if there is one truck like that there are literally tons of truck with that issue given that the Maverick has a GVW of around 5,200 pounds.
But yes, people are making it seem like this is affecting most of the hybrid Mavericks and it's just not.
If you're the one in a thousand that it...
Wait. You mean that GM and Stellantis are in on this conspiracy to delay deliver of vehicles, too?
The conspiracy gets bigger. Question everything, man. Stop being fooled by the conspirators.
WAKE UP SHEEPLE!
Oh. Yeah. Global supply chain constraints and labor shortages.
Much more logical...
People wanting to buy a Bugatti had to wait three to four years and put down a deposit larger than the cost of a Maverick. And that was pre-pandemic.
No, there is no participation trophy for waiting. As for reasons, anyone paying any attention to what's going on in the world would know about...
I waited eight months for mine. In the meantime, I drove around a 1990 Chevy Silverado with shot air conditioning that needed to be fixed just to pass smog.
But unlike some people, I realized that complaining about it wasn't going to do a thing to get me my truck quicker and I didn't think that...
