It's actually not a surprise these days. Everything takes longer to schedule than pre-Covid. What used to take a day now takes a week and what used to take a week now takes a month.
One of my cats needed a dental and initially, they weren't going to be able to schedule it until two months...
Do you own the Ranger free and clear?
If you do, are there any problems with it?
And if there are, is the warranty still in effect?
You need to answer those questions before anyone can give you advice.
You had no point, other than whining about people being capitalists and charging what the market will bear.
If they end up holding a rapidly depreciating asset when the bubble bursts, that's the other side of a free market and I'll have zero sympathy for them as well.
That's how the free market works. If you don't like it, perhaps you'd like the government to tell you exactly what vehicle you'll get the chance to buy when they get around to it.
You think the wait for a Maverick is long?
Try the wait for one in a Soviet style economy.
It's a truck, not a sports car.
Having said that, I've been at that speed and occasionally higher because I am used to the road noise of a convertible sports car with stiff performance tires. It's stable and smooth. I wouldn't try to run through a slalom at that speed in the Maverick, but for...
Ford is obviously doing it to screw the person who wrote this post. The c-level execs and the board all sit around in their board meetings, pointing to this post and laughing away.
Actually, if they did waste their time doing that, they'd laugh. Hard. But not because they're screwing...
We see people here talking about flipping their Maverick and it's wonderful and good. But then when a dealer wants to do it, they're scum?
Be consistent, people. Either charging what the market will bear is good or it's not.
You can't love the market economy when it makes you money and hate...
Never gave it a second thought. I push it once to power up the electronics, once to start the engine when I've got the clutch in, and once when I shut things down. It's something I've never given a second thought to.
Yes. Because unless you are an ignorant idiot, you know that there are supply chain constraints. And unless you're a dumbass, you know that means there will be delays in your build.
And since you're whining about it, that tells me a lot about you. To the ignore list you go.
No, common sense is strong in me.
If it was Ford's fault, I would be pissed as hell at them.
But it's not. They're not responsible for a war in Ukraine, Covid shutdowns in China, chip shortages, labor shortages and so on.
I got nothing from Ford for six or seven months after my order...
What would you like them to communicate? We don't know when we will build your truck because we don't know when we'll get the chips and parts needed to build it? Would you like to get that email once a week, once a month, once a day? Would that be "good communication" in your book?
I'd consider...
Because every other car manufacturer is doing so much better. Delays due to supply chain constraints, Covid lock downs and labor shortages are only things Ford is dealing with.
Oh, wait.

I haven't seen any difference but then there are two factors.
First, in San Diego, our hottest month is September.
Second, the average high will go up to around 80. We may have a few days where it tops 100 but those are still unusual.
If my mileage takes a hit, so be it. I'm more than happy...
I got a hybrid with the liner. I'm glad I did. The liner has already probably saved a few scratches in the bed. Did it take longer to get to me because of it? I don't know, and honestly, I don't care. I wanted the truck to come with everything I wanted already done.
You can turn the engine off with a key and it will automatically put the vehicle in park. I've done it by accident a couple of times. When the engine is off, you can't shift into park =)
It doesn't matter if it's tulip bulbs, the South Sea Company, dot com companies, houses, crypto, meme stocks or cars.
When you hear people say that there's no way to lose money and only chumps aren't in the game, just wait.
A lot of extremely confident people are going to eat losses on their...
