  6. Dial Shifter -- accidentally bumping the shifter dial and it going into neutral while driving

    80 lb Lab harnessed in the front seat has a couple of times rotated the dial with her paw to reverse. In a hybrid thereā€™s no problem if youā€™re moving above 5 mph. The truck just slows and gives you time to correct. No problem!

    I had a similar experience w my ā€˜23 hybrid. In my case a rodent had eaten thru the wire to the 2nd cylinder injector. Running on 3 cylinders is an unpleasant experience.

    Its an inexpensive truck! I donā€™t expect near perfect ergonomics on my Mav. If I did I would probably have bought 15O or a Ram. I agree that steering wheel adjustment can improve seat comfort.

    Had my battery replaced by Ford at 8k miles. At 12k miles now getting deep sleep messages again. Back to the dealership next week!

  19. ADV MPG low on new lariat hybrid

    I live in Maine. The cold weather in winter and usage of the heater seriously deteriorates MPG on my Maverick. Thatā€™s just the way it is.
