I put studded snow tires on my FWD hybrid. It hauls thru 8 inch snow like a mule. But any vehicle that bottoms out on compressed snow is not going anywhere!

Touchless car washes are efficient and eliminate all of these issues. They have always been my choice.

My 23 maverick has had one recall. The rear turn signal issue. Not a big deal.

Look out for ice jamming your heater air intakes under the rear portion of the hood. The same area that welcomes leaves in the autumn.

I’ve found that if a grain of sand lodges between the glass and the ‘swipe rubber’ it will not only squeak but also leave a scratch on the window. My drivers window has a noticeable 8 inch vertical scratch. Never had that problem in previous vehicles.

I have dogs that ride with me. I’ve found that small sand particles get under the knob and affect turning it. I’ll blame my Labs.

I put aggressive snow tires on my Mav hybrid fwd. Amazing performance in the snow here in Maine. Including pushing through 2 foot snowbanks. Traction control off, no slipping nor sliding.

Have your dealer check and replace the battery. Warranty covered! They found my original battery was holding only 42 % capacity. As a side note I suggest any Maverick owner establish a good relationship with your Ford service department.

Take it to your Ford dealer next week. They will check your original battery and replace it. Crappy original battery.

Keep a battery jumper under the rear seat. Sounds like a battery issue. Ford dealer recently replace mine.

The beauty of the dial shifter is that it is difficult to make a serious mistake. Dog paw or child pushes the shifter to reverse? No problem, truck slows down. Back in the day if you dropped the trans to reverse at speed the transmission would lock up or maybe blow up. I’m all in on the dial...

I assume you live in a colder winter climate. If so your mileage will drop off precipitously because of using the heater, which requires the ICE to come on. I’m experiencing the same. Wait for spring and it will bounce back!
