Your suspicion is correct. ACC is just cruise control that keeps a set distance from a vehicle in front of you. It also has the ability to stop and go as the traffic in front of you stops and goes. However, it is completely oblivious to stop lights and stop signs. It is not autonomous driving...
When I used the Build website yesterday, both the '23 XL and '23 XLT images were showing the eyebrow DRL's illuminated like that were on the Lariat only for MY22. Is this just a website error, or are the eyebrow DRL's ubiquitous across the entire '23 Maverick lineup?
ACC definitely illuminates the brake lights. I have followed my vehicle before when my wife was using it and also see it light up the night behind me when it engages the brakes using ACC.
For me, it will be more about whether dates/times work out. I'm willing to drive just about anywhere if I have the time. Any excuse for a road trip in Naranjita is fine by me. Although we may have to do South Sound and North Sound meetups.
I don't know if I would take my rig to a dealer who was compelled by Ford to service my vehicle. This might be a "you lose if you win" type of scenario. Kinda like pissing off the person cooking your food. You may just want to move on from Chapman for service.
You can remove the LARIAT grill bar without removing the bumper?? All the posts/videos I seen showed that you had to remove the whole bumper and grill.
Unless it's salt water. Then if it got to the bottom of the undercarriage/engine, it's a total loss insurance wise. Because everything salt water touches needs to be replaced. Every component salt water directly touches is destroyed or will have performance or premature life failure.
I too am having the ambient lighting setting reversion problem. 2022 Lariat Lux here with Sync 3.
After awhile I would notice my ambient lighting was off in the cabin at night. I'd go in the on-screen settings and see the ambient lighting brightness scale was turned all the way down to zero...
It's held up perfect. Looks exactly the same as when I drive it away from the dealer. I have zero scratches or gouges. I don't have dogs in my truck though. That would be the ultimate test.
I wasn't sure about Active X upon ordering. But I can tell you now after having my truck over 20k miles and all seasons, I like my Active X better than leather.
It looks better, it feels great, and way, way more durable. You just don't get the old cow hide smell. If they used leather in...
Wow better CR review than I'd expect . I'm at 21,000 miles on my EB. I never feel any vibration. But I do hear that GDI clicking when I am outside the vehicle at idle. And when the hood is up, the engine does visibly vibrate more than I'd like. But it is not perceptible to me in the cabin...
Summer driving has been great. At 20,000 miles and no excessive wear issues. Hardly any wear at all. I cannot tell you how much I love these tires.
As for hard freeze, I cannot say. Coldest I have had them is about 18-20°F. They did very well. But it was only for a few hours. I live at...
Yep. And also for FordPass to work I believe the Maverick has to be in AT&T LTE range and Ford Pass has a connection to the internet. Not always possible.
They should look at expanding their service dept. They are leaving a lot of money on the table. Mullinax Ford in Olympia has a Ford Quick Lane Service Center across the street from the dealer with 6-8 bays. No appointment necessary. I do my oil changes there. I do my OEM Mileage Interval...
I had my driver door proximity sensor stop working yesterday. I did the Menu>Settings>Vehicle>Locks>Intelligent Access
Pressed and held OK to Deactivate.
Then immediately reactivated without leaving the menu.
Jumped out, locked my Maverick. Walked away 10 seconds and it now works. Easy peasy...
The paint kit I got off Amazon works great.
Product: PAINTSCRATCH Touch Up Paint Tricoat Bottle Car Scratch Repair Kit - Compatible/Replacement for Ford Mach-E Cyber Orange Tricoat (Color Code: SB/M7450)
But you have to put down a base coat, let dry, pearly metallic coat, let dry and then top...
