You can't see any silver on mine. None. And here's why. I dry fit it first without adhesive to see where the silver shown through. And then I put matte black vinyl wrap at the seams. Looks great. No one even notices it looking directly at it. Would work well with matte black cover, gloss...
I have carbon fiber grille bar cover on my Maverick. Love it. Easy way to change the look without a lot of cost or effort. Had to get rid of that Iconic Silver Lariat bar. Obnoxious with Cyber Orange.
It's been holding up really well. Better than my paint. :)
I absolutely love my ACC/Lane Centering combo. I use it every day. It makes driving so much more enjoyable and less tiring. Now that I know extremely well how it reacts in nearly every situation, I can be more confident and enjoy its abilities to the fullest. It's like second nature to me...
I forgot to post an update to this. But I ended up going with a Carbon Fiber Grill Bar cover. Couldn't stand the Lariat Iconic Silver bar with the black and CO look I was going for. I like this much better.
Now if I could just get rid of the chrome trim in the headlamps!!
First off, let me say I love Cyber Orange. I love my Maverick. I have virtually no complaints about it. Except for the chipping paint. The hood is definitely the worst. I highly recommend getting clear protective wrap up front. Or at least a bug deflector.
I want to stress that I do not...
Still no hyperflash after 20 months and 50,000 miles. Although, I did have to replace one of the Alla bulbs in the driver side upper taillight at ~45k miles. It did hyperflash when it 'burned out', but stopped hyperflashing once I put the replacement Alla bulb in.
I'm happy to report that after 4 applications over the first year, the color has been holding since. It's been about 10 months and I have not reapplied.
So reapplication hasn't been required over and over again forever. And I have put on a lot of miles in those 10 months. Just about to...
I have a Lariat. w/ Lux package. I find the seats sufficient. And I am 365 lbs and 6'-1". I weighed 400 lbs. when I bought the Maverick. Now, don't get me wrong, I would LOVE for the seat to be more comfortable. But it's no less comfortable than my Lincoln Mark LT truck I had before it...
I drove from Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Olympia, Washington towing 2,200 lbs. My Maverick did amazing.
I averaged about 17 mpg. So you did very well with the extra weight averaging 14.7. However, my route was likely a much higher percentage of mountains. I averaged 20 mpg on my best tank.
I also...
Thanks. I now have a carbon fiber looking grill bar cover. I couldn't stand the Lariat silver grill bar with Cyber Orange. I have no chrome and no silver remaining. All black. Love the black contrast to the orange.
Makes it look less like a commercial vehicle.
Also, I wonder about the grill bar. It's silver, like on the Lariat. But it's an XL grill. I thought the XL grill bar was integral with the front grill and not removable. Only removable on XLT and Lariat. So if that's true, was the XL grill bar...
I love my Maxxis RAZR AT's. I have 46,000 miles on mine. Will replace them before this winter. I wrote a pretty comprehensive review on mine. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/245-65-17-maxxis-razr-ats-on-my-cyber-orange-lariat-maverick.6954/
Yeah, I tried to work it out a few days before I took delivery. I was willing to drive it straight from the dealer, about 7 miles away. I told the store manager about all the reports online, and he said every store is different based on local market conditions. He said that to him tire trade...
Well there is a Maverick song that you can sing. You'd have to learn Korean to sing all the parts. "Maverick. They call me little bad, bad, bad" "I'm a, I'm a, I'm a MAVERICK!"
I have about two dozen little chips. Straight down to metal. I have a 30 mile daily commute. My wife does the same commute in her 2021 Kia minivan. Hers still looks new and 20,000 more miles on it. Definitely a difference between vehicles. Quality? Aerodynamics? Global warming? I have...
