Yours was 2-1/2 weeks. I think that's about as fast as it gets to the NW. Mine was over Thanksgiving too, but the previous year. Shipped 11/19 (2 days before yours), but arrived 12/16 (8 days after yours). Mine sat for around after Thanksgiving, not moving along for quite awhile. I'm glad...

Mine took just under 4 weeks from built to arriving at my dealer in Olympia. Some have been a little faster that I have seen.
  3. Instinctively reaching for a shift lever... is it just me?

I have had my Maverick 14 months and 33k miles. And I still will reach for a floor shif lever occasionally. Muscle memory be what it be.

  5. W WA Mav Meet-up Feb 18th - 11am til?

Thank you for arranging. How long do you think it will run? I have a commitment in Olympia until approximately 11-11:30 and would then head up to Renton. It takes just a hair over an hour to get there. I may not arrive until after 12:30 PM.
  6. Worst Maverick Wreck I've Seen Yet....

As they say in New Mexico... ¡No bueno!
  7. 245/65-17 MAXXIS RAZR AT's on my Cyber Orange Lariat Maverick

**WEAR UPDATE** I am now just over half life of my tread. Around 30% of the tread used in over 31,000 Miles. And I would say I am pretty hard on my tires. Still does very well in the snow and the rain. I don't notice any degradation in performance so far. I am just about to rotate tires. I...
  8. 245/65-17 MAXXIS RAZR AT's on my Cyber Orange Lariat Maverick

The total pressure of the tire, as well as the corner edge shape/profile can make a difference as to rubbing. Also, some tires that are the same size can vary a 1/2" or so in total diameter. This is the first I have seen where someone said they encountered rubbing with 245/65R17 size before...

    Now we're talking!!
  10. Dash radio buttons trim cover installed

Now if they make it carbon fiber to match my steering wheel cover and headlight button surround, then I might buy it. Thanks for posting.

I stayed put yesterday. We had a solid inch of ice on everything. I was afraid someone would lose it and slam into my Maverick. I did everything I needed on Thursday since the ice storm was predicted. Now it's all melted and 50°F!
  12. Western Washington

Hey Thurston County neighbor! I just got my tab renewal in the mail too. I'm at 11 months and 25k miles. I have been racking them up! I just can't stop driving this thing!!! :)

You wouldn't recognize Bonney Lake now. Strip malls, tract homes, stop lights as far as the eye can see. A mess at rush hour. But you can now get home in Tehaleh starting in the high 800's. LOL
  14. Adaptive Cruise Control - do other drivers know you're using it?

Yep, what @jsus said above. I started toggling on and off, because I didn't like it at first except for very specific instances like Drive Thrus. Now that I am used to it, I love it and now just keep it engaged. I live in an area with hills and mountains, so the AUTO HOLD is pretty...
  15. Adaptive Cruise Control - do other drivers know you're using it?

Also, interestingly, the AUTO HOLD brake also triggers the brake lights. I use the AUTO HOLD a lot. Especially at drive thrus, instead of standing on the brake pedal. When you let off the brake pedal in AUTO HOLD, the taillights stay illuminated until you hit the throttle and start going again.
  16. Adaptive Cruise Control - do other drivers know you're using it?

This is a great point. We had a lot of snow last winter. The Maverick AWD is great in the snow. But the ACC cannot be used if the snow is sticking. It also doesn't like big fat flakes even when it is not sticking. It will disengage. It also will disengage in hard rains or dense fog...
  17. Adaptive Cruise Control - do other drivers know you're using it?

The Maverick works better than any ACC system I have ever used. It will slow down and stop pretty severely. Especially with greater distances used on the separation. Intervention is only needed in the most severe situations. I have only had to assist 2 or 3 times is 25k miles. And I drive in...
  18. Adaptive Cruise Control - do other drivers know you're using it?

There are 4 distance settings. Also, by using shift modes Eco, Normal and Sport, you can adjust how quickly you speed up to get back up to speed after slowing down or a stop.
  19. Adaptive Cruise Control - do other drivers know you're using it?

Yes. All the time. It even worked on a deer I did not see at sunset. I didn't understand why it was slowing at first. When I did finally see the deer, I wonder if I would have had time to completely stop. Either way, I was impressed. Although it would probably not work in a deer situation...
