Two concerns⦠thereās a cable that can be dislodged by checking a fuse? And nobody can figure out how to tow a hybrid including the dealer? Both of these issues need to be checked into by Ford.
Iām actually looking forward to hearing what everyone else paid. I got mine done by a local body shop for $550 all in (cdn funds). I talked them into giving me a discount because the Maverick bed is smaller than their standard cost for a short bed truck.
Towed the boat down to the lake for the first time. My boat isnāt much but the Maverick towed it like it didnāt exist and from just a short run it looks like it barely put a dent in my mileage on the highway. Super happy with the Maverick on today run, even though the rest of my day didnāt go as...
She wasnāt happy with the trial run, sheās never happy on car rides. Weāve been travelling with her since she was a puppy and sheās always happy as can be when we get places⦠but thereās no joy for her with the travelling unfortunately.
Letās just accept that my dog is spoiled rotten. And if I donāt do something to prevent it, when I put her in the back seat she will have climbed into the drivers seat before I can even get to the door. I had used a similar diy guard on my old Mazda 3 to keep her in the back so I modified that...
Took my Maverick fishing. And should be able to get the boat dug out of storage this weekend so I can put the tow package to work and get into some early season smallmouth soon.
The Mav has plenty of power and doesnāt struggle to maintain speed in the city or on the highway. But itās nothing at all like the A3. The Mav has power, the A3 is quick. Thatās the best way I can explain it. I definitely like driving the A3 better but it would be shit for towing my boat.
My wife has an A3 so I already have the best of both worlds by having a Maverick for truck things and an A3 for sporty things. But every time I drive the Audi I get a slight tinge of regret for not getting one for myself. If an Audi pickup was anywhere near the A3 in drivability Iād be all over...
After reading many posts about the escape floor mats options and how they fit the Maverick I decided to order a set of Findway F100 mats off Amazon.ca. I paid $170 for front and back. The front mats I am 100% happy with. They are a heavy rubber material, much better than my previous 3d Maxspider...
Picked up my new Area 51 from dealer stock today. Had an Oxford White on order, but I got the options I wanted in this one and the Area 51 is growing on me very quickly. No mods yet other than to get some paw prints on the back seat, she approves of the new hauler.
Picked up my new Maverick today, so far the only thing Iāve done to it is to get the windex out to clean forehead smudges off my drivers side windows from people scoping the interior before I drove it home today.
That reminds me, my pup is going to need a cover for the back seat, and Iām going to need a gate across the seats since she has no boundaries and always thinks she should be riding shotgun.
Nothing good ever happens when I scroll through Facebook Marketplace. Old scooters, broken outboards, industrial sized scroll saw⦠and now an Area 51 Maverick. Saw 3 Mavericks posted by a local dealer Wednesday night, put my deposit down first thing Thursday morning, filled out the paperwork...
A lack of pass ovation would cause spots of rust and pitting of the stainless fastener, not rust over the entire head of the screw like the op has shown. Those just look like a very poorly coated steel screw. Those are steel fasteners, I have no doubt.
Yikes, that fishing pole rack looks sketchy even with a 2 piece rod. I have a ton of 1 piece rods that Iām still not sure where Iāll put them when Iām not taking the boat, but that rack definitely wonāt be an option for me. Iām still hoping I can fit them inside the cab without too much trouble.
Do we still get shit for going off-topic in this thread? I notice your gmc in your profile pic, is that a 1-ton? I had one of those a few years back, itās rare to see the gmc version of the AD trucks anywhere.
