Wait, that's not even where the leak was coming from right ? This looks like an attempt to somehow contain the leak to within exhaust and have the coolant burn off.
Please post (personal details scratched off) your work order. We must see this one.
Edit: they replaced everything rearward of...
What is interesting is that the sensor is part of the cable and if you look for a replacement part all websites say that "C" version replaces "B".
I am guessing something had to change though I couldn't tell you when that revision took place on the hybrid (looks like this cable applies to...
Cold temps in modern vehicles esp non BEV / Electric should have virtually zero impact on cars as far as error / check engine lights.
A binding throttle bosy would just mean poor design / quality control.
Yup, been wondering that myself.
Running to clear out the bay of fumes (recall related) crossed my mind. Mines a late(ish) 23 but I wonder if early ones where slats and holes had to be made experience the same thing.
Are they aware ? I'm sure.
Are they working on a fix ? Unlikely as I suspect it would be a heavy software update that would impact a lot, including some EPA recertification (more charge = in theory uses more "fuel")...or heavy physical updates due to bad parts.
Not a good look for @Ford Motor...

For those with a fob remote start...doesn't that work even of it's in deep sleep ?
I bet complete removal of the TCU / pulling fuse / disabling all FordPass related features along with WIFI will solve these issues for 97.5% of people. Of course get a fresh battery with it for a fresh...
Wasn't everyone praising the the maverick hybrid is based on those 500k mile NY taxis escape hybrids....bulletproof...bull$hit.
Engineering = likely fixed by software update
Stock battery crap = with work, Ford could remedy with some increased cost
Loose connections = where is the question...
I tried to do a quick search earlier and still came up with a full exhaust on the maverick.
Can you share ?
Somewhat encouraging that it's not a full exhaust anymore.
Not that it helps the situation but good reads especially towards the end
Seems like om those they made a service part instead of replacing full exhaust ?

is the hybrid heat exchanger a hybrid unique component ? by that wording it is, so it could fall under a 8year/100k warranty ?
if it wasnt unique, heck call it a exhaust heat exchanger.
Weak 12v batteries even after starting will create all sorts of issues in many cars. Regardless with brand new cars this should not be an issue.
Curious to see what fault is stored. FordPass might be able to give you some detail or at minimum head over to autozone and see what is stored.
mine never moved past 1/4 mark driving around yesterday in the cold.
I did notice something odd though at idle even shortly after starting the car in garage. The radiator fans coming on for a few even if engine is well below its nominal operating temperature. Yesterday in garage (open) i...
I am convinced the dealer screwed something up hoping I wont take delivery. I don't need / want 3k in packages or accessories and just because I had 3k in private offers does not make that right.
The only option I was given is take it or leave it...sounds like a typical dealer.
betting is CV axles - very well known issue.
Does anyone know if these typically fail once they start to leak ?
There are some posts over on F150 forums where the theory is that clamps are overdone on the boots which starts to puncture them resulting in a leak.
