  1. Theoretical: Help me choose between a 2023 Maverick on order or a lightly used 2021 F-150

A hybrid F150 marked down 10k+ is a pretty good deal. I would heavily consider it. It is going to be a more robust and solid vehicle imo.
  2. 1,400 Mile Trip Towing 2643 lbs total load - results, thoughts and photos

So I'll be honest I read the same on using ACC with towing but I wanted to try it and to my surprise it really didn't load the turbo or motor hard enough to concern me. It honestly drove similar to my 6.0 I used to have but when it drop shifted it was very smooth. I think if I had been at a full...
  3. 1,400 Mile Trip Towing 2643 lbs total load - results, thoughts and photos

Yea I'm super glad that the leaf pack waited till I got off the highway. Had that happened at speed, I don't know how that would have turned out.
  4. Lariat Ecoboost AWD transmission details?

The Tremor isn't really a different suspension. Tuned differently and a slight lift yes but the system is the same. What's different is the twin clutch which is more so a drivetrain component. The suspension in all the AWD models is the same in design.
  5. 1,400 Mile Trip Towing 2643 lbs total load - results, thoughts and photos

I paid for the basic coverage. I think it was 188 for the one way rental and 70 for the insurance. I wouldn't for a intown gig but for a long haul I decided to play it safe.
  6. 1,400 Mile Trip Towing 2643 lbs total load - results, thoughts and photos

Thank you! Cabin noise is really non issue. The Acoustic windshield on the lariat does a fantastic job. You'll get some noise from the passenger windows from the mirror but it's very much minor. It's quieter than my 17' Outback Limited I had before the Mav. Passing was easy peezy, never a...
  7. 1,400 Mile Trip Towing 2643 lbs total load - results, thoughts and photos

So I finally got to use my little Maverick to move some decent weight and get a feel for how it handles it. Earlier this week I moved from San Antonio, TX back to Cleveland, Ohio and brought all my belongings out of My GFs apartment. No we did not break up, but I got a job offer and had to move...
  8. XLT vs. Lariat Debate

They are statistically safer.... but outside of looking badass not much function.
  9. 2023 With DEATC - Ford Officially Removes Digital Display Knobs

This happened on the maverick, BS, daddy bronco and the f150. It's a cut back on chipset demands.
  10. 2023 With DEATC - Ford Officially Removes Digital Display Knobs

It's just a desired temp and I think mainly works for auto climate. Ie the climate control will try to maintain XX degree you set it to.
  11. Which tonneau cover do you prefer?

Soft roll up guy. I like how quick and easy they are and when rolled up minimal bed and back window obstruction. I load bikes and dirtbikes often so that's my driving factor. Went with a ProX15.
  12. Mavericks now for rent at U-Haul

Thanks, yea it was a bit bumpy but in the end I made it home alive. I'm going to do a write up on the trip but I'll say it went really good. Here's a teaser....about 2700lbs of payload on the maverick and here's the results.
  13. 2023 sales in September top the entire 22MY?

No sweat I was absolutely in the same boat until someone pointed out that they don't factor both Calender years for production totals.
  14. 2023 sales in September top the entire 22MY?

These are terrible screen shots but if you see in the plant production break down they've built around 96k Mavericks. About 25k in CY21 and 71k in CY22 and both are considered MY22
  15. 2023 sales in September top the entire 22MY?

I think your mixing up calender 22 vs MY22. MY 22 was closer to 80kish
  16. navigation

It requires different phyiscal hardware(APIM) that the now 2023 comes with.
  17. navigation

Not for my22. I have my Lariat lux for almost 8k miles. No factory Nav and tbh don't care. My GFs BS Badlands has it and we never touch it.
  18. Risks Leaving Key Permanently in Truck

Just do it as the situation seems fit. I've lost a key in the literal desert riding moto before and for that ill use the keypad tactic for when I'm out adventuring. Most other places I want to use remote start(not the app) so I'll bring the key in(mainly in winter).
  19. Mavericks now for rent at U-Haul

Uhauls roadside. 7 hours later back on the road. This was at about mile 1100 out of 1450 going from San antonio Texas to Cleveland ohio. To be fair i caught some road debris I couldn't avoid that blew the tire. Then limping it a half mile to the exit, turned off to get to the Loves 200 yards...
