I don't know much about the Explorers but that rear differential in the Maverick Tremor/Lobo it's pretty darn cool. The whole vector steering locking differential function works very well on my Tremor. If the Explorer Tremor has that rear diff but the ST doesn't, the Tremor trim might be worth...
I use an Anker 521 Power Station https://a.co/d/jhWwNnm plugged into the truck's rear seat USBC to keep it charged. It runs my BougeRV 12v fridge https://a.co/d/cJw9Aui just fine with the little bit of charging the power bank gets while I drive. I did not do anything with ForScan and I just let...
Here is my first attempt at protecting the corners of the read bumper. I basically took the guy's idea of a parking mishap bumper and turned it upside down. I can see it in the rear cam and it does not set off the rear bumper proximity sensors like the rear hitch rack does. We're headed out to...
I have been contemplating putting some old school KC lights in the goofy open area of my '25 Tremor grill. I don't think factory fog lights are an option because that is where the recovery hooks are located.
I still say my most favorite mod for my Tremor was also the cheapest. It's that little plastic button cover that covers the buttons on the center console. I keep my wallet in my front pocket and my wallet kept turning the traction control on and off after I put it four wheel drive :-)
Edit: I'm reading this at work on my cell phone and I noticed you weren't calling me out for calling you out LOL sorry but I'll still leave the original thought up here anyway....
I did not mean to call you out. You are the same voice of reason that my Dad and the lead mechanic at my work gives...
You aren't making me mad. I know what I got, a highly capable off-road compact SUV disguised as a pickup truck, for around 41,000 that gets me where I want to go and can beat my brother's Chevy Colorado Trail Boss 2.7 in a sand drag race :-)
I got it from harbor freight for only $60. They label it as an ATV hitch rack but it still had the same normal size attachment as the rest. It did not come with any type of warnings about not for highway use or anything like that. It was the only one they had that had that little step up like...
My daily driver and camping vehicle before I bought the Tremor was a full size seven passenger 2003 Ram Van 1500 that I partially converted for camping. It was just rear wheel drive with open diff and no traction control whatsoever. The only way you could get over difficult obstacles with that...
I believe all Mavericks, 2WD or AWD have the same open differential brake based traction control front axle. The Maverick Tremor, along with the Bronco Sport Badlands, Maverick Lobo, and I think a certain Focus Rally models, have the special three clutch "locking" rear differential. These models...
It is a Tepui Ayer 2 person rooftop tent that I bought from Facebook Marketplace for only $300. I got such a great deal because it had a leaking soft cover. It's (barely) small enough to fit under the tonneau cover and I didn't need the tent's cover. Keep an eye out for used rooftop tents that...
I sort of accidentally bought a '25 Tremor and I love the way it worked out. I'm over 19,000 miles since February (I know that's too much hehe) and I do not regret it one bit. It is very capable in sand, gravel, and mud. You just have to think of it as a highly off road capable compact SUV...
I have exhausted all my self help options and I'm scheduled to drop off the truck at the dealership on Monday after work. I believe that it is the module that controls the cellular connection and the GPS. It still needs to go in for that passenger airbag light recall anyway :( At least my first...
I think it is the Tepui Ayer 2 Person. I bought it from Facebook Marketplace for only $300 because the soft cover was leaking a little. He had it on top of his Tacoma for a few years and never took it off. I knew I was going to put it under the tonneau cover and I did not need the tent cover...
