Apologizes right off the bat as I have seen this topic before, but many boards do not like reopening old topics.
I'm puzzled when it comes to using the heat in my truck and I have only felt this way for a good two or three weeks. Right off the bat, I don't use the auto feature. I keep the...
The Bronco II was a fun and versatile SUV's back in the day and I have yet to meet an owner who didn't enjoy it. One of my good friend's father owned one when we were 16 and driving, it was a blast. Nothing overly fancy but very functional.
The only way I would have considered a BS was if you...
Since I have not used Livernois' device just yet (I've used other devices for other vehicles) I am always concerned about bricking the pcm. Always. When you go through the process and get to the end where it says key off for three seconds, what next? Turn the key off and unhook the cable?
Merely plugging it into the OBDII and powering it on shouldn't cause any problems. You have to give input to elicit a response.
Those Accessports are almost idiot proof. Not saying you are an idiot, of course.
The restraint I have exercised is unbelievable and I blame it on the OTC tune on my last WRX. Rationally speaking though, the problems with that vehicle (caused me to sell it at 9300 miles) had nothing to do with a tune as I look back upon it sensibly and objectively.
Just a few comments.
The vehicle I sold in order to by the Maverick was a WRX and I went with Cobb because that place is well known for its work on Subaru turbos. The process was simple and the accessport had plenty of options. The 93-octane tune was obviously adding more power but it was...
Glad you mentioned such a thing as I was thinking something similar yesterday. IMO, I couldn't tell when the Subaru (3 different ones) were losing grip in slippery conditions. On the other hand, the Maverick performs great, but the slippage is more noticeable.
I remember the days when a Jeep...
Weight matters to a point and is a big reason why I went with the BFG trail TA over the KO3. Traction wise, the Trail is fine. Look wise the KO3 looks great but does that really matter? Not to mention how much more it grabs.
Rolling resistance? A heavier wheel and a heavier and grippier tire...
IMO that has nothing to do with the economy. All of us are guilty, at one time or another, of buying something we didn't need or couldn't afford or shouldn't buy.
I have owned mine for a year and just found the screen a few weeks ago. It's there under one of the instrumentation categories.
Edit: At least on the XL, play with the screen and go to settings and then information and under there will be the auto start/stop, the AWD, etc...,
