That's because your car is in high demand on the used market and can they get you to trade it in on this brand new thing that's been sitting on the lot too long?
You signed a document stating that the car was as you expected, without verifying for yourself that the car was as you expected. All on you, sorry. You got lucky.
Yeah, I recommend going through the apps too. In fact so did my dealer, as if I had any thought of using the factory nav anyway. But they did come out and say not to bother with the subscription nav service and Google Maps was better anyway.
Plus, the dash will actually get nav cues from...
The EB has a push-to-open gas door? The Hybrid, you have to hit a button on the dash, the thing won't move unless you release it there? Didn't realize EB would be different, learn something new every day.
If you want true one-pedal driving, Eco mode will crank the regen braking up even more. The L button is mostly trying to simulate a "Low gear" and keep you in a fictional First or Second gear.
Surprisingly Tow/Haul did some extra regen braking in my 2022 also. Haven't tried it in my 2025 yet.
My understanding is that there's a button to turn Auto Stop Start on and off.
For obvious reasons they don't abbreviate it as "ASS." But maybe they should.
I think they got the idea from hybrids, which pretty much run off of battery while at a light or stop sign. The difference is those can start moving under electric motor while the engine starts up, and regular cars can't, which makes it a lot less seamless and a lot more annoying.
Bottom line...
It defaults to "on." There's a button in the center console that looks kind of like a snail that will turn it off. Ford decided to re-invent the traction control icon on the button (but not in the dash), and luckily they changed it back to normal for 2025.
I don't have much interest in a tach. The battery meter, on the other hand...sometimes it's nice to know when you shouldn't bother trying to charge the battery more.
Yeah, I ditched Spotify, and only used it for music anyway. I actually paid for Podcast Addict and use that for my podcasts, and use YouTube Music for the times I want music (since I get it with my Google stuff anyway).
The ride height helps some with the snow, you'll get over snow piles that a car could never handle. Getting high-centered is harder in the Maverick than a normal car too. Overall it's a little better than a FWD car in snow.
I wouldn't even consider taking the FWD Maverick off of the road. I...
