Like you, it relies on being able to visually see lane markings. Understand that it will not function in bad weather, if it functions at all. If you cannot see properly to drive, it probably can't see either.
Having said all that, it's still worth having as a safety system.
Anything that you plug into the 12V power point(s) should be no more than 180 watts (12 volts DC times 15 amps) all together at any time, since (as far as I know) all the power points receive power from a single fuse.
First, if the headlight assemblies died during the warranty, Ford would replace them. Note that this does not apply to halogen bulbs, but since the LEDs are not replaceable bulbs, they would probably be covered as defective.
Second, if you really do want the peace of mind from an extended...
I'd eventually like to order a hybrid Lariat with the luxury package, but it includes a spray-in bedliner, which has been a constraint item lately.
What happens in that case? Does Ford just credit you for the unavailable option and build the rest of the order? If so, that would be mostly fine...
Pretty much. It defaults to "Normal" mode at every startup, not the last mode used.
Additionally, the truck will also not respond to presses on the drive mode select button until 5 seconds after startup.
Another forum member did design a small timer circuit that fits inline with the drive mode...
I never said it was illegal where you are, nor did I blindly trust forum profile details.
Regardless of how many states have laws about it, I'm just putting it out there that it is a thing.
Whether or not you want to continue after learning one way or the other is up to you.
I don't know how you might accomplish this, but isn't illegal in most states to wear earbuds/headphones/similar while driving?
Bluetooth earpieces of the past that went into a single ear and just did phone calls are allowed in most states, but laws are rarely quickly updated to match the...
That's more or less a hybrid F-150, except it's not a plug in, and sells for around 2x the cost.
Also, the Maverick has a "generator" mode, although it's limited to 400 watts, whereas the hybrid F-150 can push 18 times more power at 7.2kW.
My point is that you can't tell the difference between heat limiting the hybrid battery and fail safe cooling mode because you're not informed as a driver. You just have to guess.
To me, that is a bad UI choice.
Given that we agree that it is a programmed operating mode, then as a driver, I would still want to be informed, via an instrument cluster message, that the truck was limited due to temperature, and what I should do. Drive home? Serious enough to pull over and call a tow? Etc.
The Maverick...
If it's stopped either charging or discharging the battery due to excessive heat or cold, then yes, it is broken in the sense that the truck is not fully operating.
Recall that the hybrid ICE is specifically compromised (atkinson cycle) for the sake of efficiency to run worse at idle/lower...
For the Maverick hybrid, what is the rated (constant, not surge) amperage capacity of the DC to DC converter?
What is its fuse size, or is it a fusible link instead?
Recent leaked news from a supplier indicates that cyber orange may no longer be an available color option for 2023 MY Mavericks.

I reached out to Four Wheel Campers maybe a month ago regarding a camper shell for the Maverick and it's not great news. Here is the response email that I received.
