Doesn't the XLT and Lariat (or is that just the Lariat Luxury package, maybe?) include that sensor as part of the trim upgrade? I know that the XL can add it as a dealer option.
As far as I knew the Maverick, Bronco [Sport], and Escape all share a common C2 platform. This is how/why so many parts are interchangeable between these models.

As far as the 35 MPH limit that you've seen, I've read reports that it is possible to get electric mode to kick in at freeway speeds (60 or 70 maybe, but there is a limit, I don't know what that upper limit is), but only for maybe 0.2 miles, if you ease off the accelerator and gently tip in...
It's not an option on the poll, but I want my truck for its utility as a truck to carry and tow cargo.
Thus I will be keeping the stock suspension height, although I may look at some airbags to level tow loads, but only if they correct a problem. Visually, I don't really care.
The TCU activation conditions, who knows. But you specifically referred to extra hardware, a separate power source to guard against the power being cut. That is something that can be checked with a teardown.
It's real funny that you should mention that.
A couple months ago I was at a party where I had Ubered over, and some other people drove. One of the drivers had a manual, I think it was a Civic. It ended up getting towed along with everyone else that had driven. I don't recall the details of how...
That theory can be checked with a teardown of the modules in question, but since it's not an advertised feature, and it would add costs to what is supposed to be a cheap truck, I can't just assume that they engineered something like that in.
That's always an option on any vehicle.
That in no way stops them from hauling it off with a tow truck, which is a common method being discussed here, no matter if the parking brake is set or what gear it's in. They don't seem to care about the damage they cause.
I still do not understand why Ford didn't go with the "Ranchero" nameplate, as it was from the same era as the Maverick, and the Maverick is a direct call back to the same type of vehicle as the Ranchero.
"Lane Assist" on all trims except for the Lariat trim with the luxury package is more of a suggestion. It'll slowly steer you back into your lane, but it might be too slow, and you'll ping pong from side to side, as it is not designed as aggressive as the "Lane Centering" system, which will keep...
I looked up a YouTube review on that multimedia box. Can the icons in the lower right of the home screen be changed out for a user's preferred common apps?
I've never understood the obsession with soy.
Plus that whole sexuality thing, people seem to get angry when they find that women and I are just friends, and that I play for the other team. I think of it as twice as manly. I guess that just scares some men. 😁
Dealers like this (saw "Haggerty Ford"), and more specifically the owners behind them, because they can just move onto another scam - need to be named and shamed, in a centralized list.
I don't know how definite it is or not, but I have ridden in that car, and he has babied it. He's one of those people that would very likely polish the car with a proverbial baby's diaper if he could, lol.
No, I mean Carfax.
And yeah, I think they're smoking something over there if they think that a car with almost a quarter of a million miles on the clock is worth $20k.
Granted, it's not a Maverick, but Carfax just yesterday offered a friend of mine $20,180 for his 2018 Honda Accord 1.5L with... get this... 244,860 miles. Driving, for him, is relaxing. The car has already had its engine replaced a few months ago. I don't know if Carfax took that into account.
