Long change intervals are very much a game, similar to carbon credits - not a single reputable tribologist will support these manufacturers long change intervals. The science doesn't support it. As long as she makes it past warranty the OEM is happy to accept the government credits.....
If you have this complaint anywhere else in the world, expecting a company that sells goods to provide written and verbal support in the native language of that market, nothing would be said and it would be considered absolutely reasonable. Somehow that stance here pisses people off - or does it?
They should stay on as courtesy lamps and then shut off with a timer, the keyfob locks override the timer.
Mine stay on for right at 30-seconds
Too late, @commadorebob beat me on the draw
They may have had a batch and have already discovered the root cause. I agree with @jewc75 someone got a little happy with their machine settings. Looking at OP's pictures, I think that bar was cracked for a decent period before it finally surrendered, only part of that break looks fresh to me.
Hope the OP keeps the thread updated, interested in the ultimate resolution.
Mine, like many others across multiple manufacturers, was low on fluid from the factory. Took a little over 1/2 quart to top off. The common thinking is the units arrive wet to be married into the drivetrain, and the...
I have mine just as I wanted , with the eibachs, steeda bars and stickier Yokohama's it is planted very nicely, the intake and exhaust add a bit more fun and presto-the daily commute is much much better!
Keep the EB, not only makes the most financial sense, I would lay money that you will be happier and enjoy your current truck more than the new hybrid - everything does not have to be practical.....
Somebody from the "solid bars are better" gang should contact Fomoco and tell 'em - that stock bar OP just put back on his truck is hollow.....with crushed and drilled ends...
I thought this was going to be an alarm for when your mother-in-law needs a ride but can't help telling ya how to drive..... :ROFLMAO:
On the real subject, mine must be broken, I turned it off two-years or more ago and it hasn't returned..
@dlhort1955 On your menus, go into settings (truck pic), then Driver Assistance, then Pre Collision Assistance. In there you can set sensitivity and turn auto braking on or off....
I checked my assortment kits here and no joy. I would pop that remaining one out and take it into O'Reilly etc and match it up - failing that hit the dealership. Push the center pin in to unlock for removal, pull center pin up to allow re-insertion, then push flush to lock in place.
Good article posted by @fossil above. Here is a quote from the article:
Sway bars work off of torsional force (twisting motion). Therefore, the material in the center of a solid bar plays little role in the resistance of torsional force. With this in mind, hollow bars eliminate some of the...
I would say the amount of coking would logically vary between makes, too many variables in design, manufacturing, etc., for it not too.
Variance as to how well a given make handles coking would be largely dependent on how well the modules deal with detonation - these small boosted higher hp...
