  1. How to reduce the dreaded valve carbon?

Solid question, thanks! There are baffles both at the valve cover vent and on the block crankcase vents that certainly help a good deal, but they don't prevent. I dump oil and condensate out of each can on a regular basis. This is just as normal a routine as fuel contamination in a DI engines...
  2. Stop giving me ideas...

I have not noticed any reception loss, my thinking is the electrical length of the Cravenspeed is at least a match to the oem. Some have reported a decrease in reception, not me.
  3. How to reduce the dreaded valve carbon?

OEM's do in fact install catch cans, sometimes called separators, generally on higher end vehicles and of a design that requires little to no maintenance by an owner. The devices are well known and work to reduce the amount of crankcase oil in vapor being reingested. A basic catch can from the...

  9. Can I reset/recalibrate my fuel "MTE" digital read on my 22 XL 2.0?

Take a look around in Engineering test mode, I know you can adjust the mpg offset in this mode as I have done it - my mpg is always within .4 of my hand calculated now. Hold down OK while turning key to accessory , ET comes up and you use the up down toggle to scroll menus
  10. Floor jack pinch weld pucks

I do the same as well, I am talking about the depth of the pad or socket on the factory jack indicating this vehicle is lifted on the pinch weld - not all vehicles are designed that way.
  11. Floor jack pinch weld pucks

That's a pre 2021 recall. Good info for anyone with some old stands that wants to make sure, but not for those shopping for new. Any vehicle support can fail, including ramps, and any vehicle support can be used incorrectly as well. When I put the truck up on four stands, such as for tire...
  12. Lowered the XLT. Other mods to come. From picking it up to adding a hard bed cover and lowering it with Eibach springs.

I did the $100 alignment after as well, minor adjustments only. So....don't buy the camber bolts like someone I know did....
  13. Floor jack pinch weld pucks

NJBob, the jack pad on the factory jack tells the tale, these pinch welds are designed to lift on the pinch and not on the surrounding. In addition to the arrowhead molded into the plastic indicating the lift point, the pinch weld itself is visibly thicker and has two V's, one on each side of...

  15. Zep Taillight Reverse Lights Are Horrible

Good to hear OP. And good on ya for being kind to the grouchy old bastages that couldn't resist crapping in your thread. They need another appointment with this guy
  16. Windshield replacement with Co-Pilot 360

Had it done twice - recalibration is no problem at all.
  17. 100% stock or customize.

Make it yours, you'll enjoy it much more! Anyone can stay bone-stock, only you can do you.......
  18. Longer oil filter and splash pan

400 fits fine, plenty room to spare. The best part of the larger filter is it the way it chaps the "experts" ass.... :ROFLMAO:
  19. How to find Battery Voltage

@jeepgrady hold down OK while turning key to accessory , ET comes up and you use the up down toggle to scroll menus
  20. under body engine cover

Lots of components down low on this engine installation, I thought about leaving it off until I laid there looking at all of that and decided against leaving it all exposed. Takes me about 90-seconds to drop that cover and push it back out of the way with a screw gun, so not worth it to me. I...
