So ready for the dealership model to go bye-bye. Just charge PayPal for my down/fees and drop it off in my driveway straight off the truck after prep.
Or via Amazon drone, that'd be ok too ;)
I've been to 4 or do dealerships and only one is accepting X-Plan on orders, none on lot inventory...
Co-pilot makes more sense on the F-150+ than any of the smaller trucks since they aren't nearly as wide/long and won't be doing as much trailering. I'd say it's a nice to have feature on the smaller ones but not something I'd pay for. Just my two cents, though.
Sidebar: I look at the rear...
Researching/driving Mav has actually pushed me up into mid/full size because it's too close in capability to my Forester (which we'll keep). I'm either going to go F-150 or wait for the Taco/Ranger/Colorado redesign.
I climbed modestly high up their corporate ladder in a previous life, the least I can do is remember the slogan :p
Thanks for the first hand account btw.
Bought a used 2003 in 2008, traded it in for new in 2013, and plan on new in 2022, keeping the last car. I don't like inheriting someone else's problems and tend to keep cars for a while, so I prefer to buy new.
Ranger with the FX4 has a terribad suspension for road feel, imo. Has to be base or Tremor for me. (Tremor is actually super cool, but 19 mpg on an 18 gallon tank, oof. I'd strongly consider a Mav Tremor)
Ranger rides like a small truck, whereas Mav rides like a long crossover. I can't...
The ranger bed is quite a bit wider, too. For me, accessibility into the bed is not a factor and I wish Mav sat quite a bit higher, but I get that some people love it. Lots of tie downs and thoughtful details in the Mav box, too.
