Ford is going to sell every lightning it can make before it leaves the factory for quite a while :) super interesting truck, if it wasn't such a land yacht I'd buy a f-150.
Interior cab space rivals most compact crossovers (except maybe Subaru) for rear passenger space, and is better than most mid size trucks (looking at you, outgoing Ranger). As long as the dimensions work for whatever you want in the back, I wouldn't be too worried about traveling comfortably...
I live in the woods in one of the reddest parts of my state... I'll never see a charging station anywhere nearby to justify going electric, but they're pretty darn cool.
I'm pretty much locked into waiting for the 2023 Ranger reveal before I go Mav or Ranger.
I have similar thoughts on the ranger, but my main hold ups on the current gen are cabin space and lack of backseat utility in the crew cab. I'll probably hold out for the redesign, as I don't mind the risk of new model years. I need the extra off-road/towing capability, but I don't want a road...
I was hyped for the Maverick, but the Ranger is going to cannabalize my sale. There's definitely some overlap in the target market, but not as much as one might think I'm my opinion, especially as you move away from urban centers.
The F-150 is too much of a yacht for my needs and the Maverick isn't quite 'truck enough.' My perfect truck would be the size, capability, and utility of the Ranger with the Maverick cabin and styling. (A Mav Tremor would be tempting) Love so much of the Maverick, but the more I think about it...
I got them for my first and only Subaru, but haven't applied them yet... It's only been 8 years since I got them, lol. A Ford variant would be fun.
Gotcha, those are pretty snazzy too :)
I've had 3 vehicles in 18 years on the road. Current Forester (my first and only new car, built to order from Japan) just turned 8 and the upgrade itch has finally set in.
Current 14 Forester owner - I appreciate side by sides with the Subies as there's some overlap in the consumer demographics here.
I love a lot about the Maverick as an upgrade, but I wish the Maverick was a step up in terms of height. Both ground clearance and seating position to make it less...
