I installed the blow-off valve adapter over the weekend and other than dropping one of the screws down into the black hole that is the engine compartment, everything went well. I was a bit concerned that the amount of whoosh that the adapter made would be more noticeable but it is just about...
That is why I am wondering if I have a strange beast. The only plug with a white lock on it on the front of the engine is a two wire plug and the "B" plug won't fit it, it's too big. The A plug fits perfectly on the Manifold Air Pressure sensor on the intake manifold.
I know I have seen at least six in this area, and I took a road trip over Memorial Day and saw a few on the road, one in Wyoming, one or two in Nebraska, and one in Wisconsin. All of those were on the highway. I did see one that could have been a Maverick or a Ranger but it was too far away...
I bought mine site unseen before the first Mavericks were delivered to dealerships so I was one that bought without a test drive. I have had five new Fords in the past and I also has assurance by the dealership that if I didn't want to take it I would bet my deposit back.
Thanks for the pictures, they are helpful but I was already certain that A was the mass air sensor on the intake and I am still unable to identify the boost sensor as all of the connectors to the sensors, at least all that I can find, on the front of the engine above the throttle body, are...
So far I have had no luck in getting the Racechip GTS installed. The instructions suck as the pictures are in black and white and nothing on the engine looks like the image they enclosed in the instructions. The tech support is in Germany and I am in the Mountain West so I am -7 GMT and they...
That is the part number for a Maverick Instrument cluster panel
NZ6T is for the generic prefix for Maverick 10849 is the instrument cluster and I believe AE is the date it was manufactured but I am not sure on that one
I see the difference, mine has the Fx4 package and his Lariat doesn't. Guess I best be specific about the fog lamp covers I am making, they fit outboard of the recovery hooks. I cut them already but I am having them powder coated before I install them
Now all I need to do is get the time to install everything. I think it may be easiest to install the blowoff adapter through the wheel well. With the skid plate under the engine there just isn't an easy way to get at it since it is behind the engine and low. And the throttle body plate may...
I had no idea that the Lariat bumper had different accents than my XLT bumper. I am working on some covers so my fog lights will look like they were professionally installed,. Tough to make them look factory when the factory plooked the pooch and left them out, even though the truck on my dash...
Nothing but good to say so far about Boomba Racing. The parts were shipped and received immediately, I got them within a couple of days of ordering them. THEY discovered an issue with the throttle body that they sent me and contacted me before I had time to open the part and install it. To me...
I will be installing mine on the dirty side, crankcase vent side, of my engine. If that gets a lot then I will also add one to the clean side, the one that is between the valve cover and the air intake.
A turbo increases the cylinder pressure and will force oil vapor back into the crankcase...
If it has a turbo you will want to get a catch can so the oil vapor from the crank case doesn't go into the turbo. It isn't just the valve stems that get gunked up, but the fins in the turbo will get clogged slowly then the turbo goes out right after the warranty goes out.
Okay have at it. I am just looking at the door blow up diagram and the keyless entry connects to the drivers side door handle and the antenna but go for it.
That does look wrong. The plastic is wrong as well as the wrong color. It would be better to get one from a Bronco Sport or Escape at the salvage yard, but it would need to be a 2022 to make sure that it will be compatible.
I am guessing that you will get the As-Built file and that won't do you much good as that window sticker doesn't have the option you are looking to install, and if that is not your VIN then I wouldn't install that As Built file or you could cripple your ride until you get the correct As Built...
After consulting the factory service manual, the BCM is the unit with the codes. You will need not only the keyless entry keypad but also the antenna since the BCM checks for the keyfob. and not just for RKE. I am not sure but it appears that it may be that there is more than one BCM for the...
