Dang!!! Ever since driving a car with adaptive cruise control (2013, I think), it became a must-have on any vehicle I get... spared me more than once from pants-shitting moments.

My first thought is that a grinding noise is never normal, except for a grinder. If mine did that, I would take it to my dealer to either fix it or at least get it on record in case it becomes a serious problem after the warranty expires..
I like having a readily identifiable vehicle. My wife, who pays no attention to the make or model, will point out a Maverick when she sees it from behind.
Looks like I'm the odd man out... I have no issue with my Auto Start. However, I only drive about 50 miles/week, 95% in town stop/go routes, and I plug in a battery tender every few weeks when the stop/Start stops working.
