I'd stay with EB. I only drive the truck about 2.5K miles per year, so the difference in fuel cost would be negligible, and it's a simpler machine, so I expect fewer issues. However, we've driven nothing but Toyota Avalon Hybrids since they became available in 2013, and when it's time to replace...
Mine was installed too far forward, and the rear seal didn't sit on the top of the tailgate, which let water in. They moved it back about a half inch, or so, and it seals much better.
Well, "geezer" is a complement in the UK, but it grinds my gears where I live... unless it's just good-natured bantering with someone you know doesn't really think you're a geezer.

Prosperity, like today's economy, runs in cycles, and successful enterprises (and people) plan ahead for the next bust. We will likely see another time when a new $20-25K truck will appeal to the masses... just my 2 cents.
I chose the matching color, but I suspect the installer's cost varies significantly, depending on location. The nearest one to me is 90 miles away and not in a high population area, so I need to shop around before taking the plunge.
