I am in no way offended by political comments when the topic is politics. This thread didn't need to go that direction, but it did, and I'm just not interested in seeing it here. Facebook, yes. MTC, no.
I didn't see the original post as political. I saw it as a discussion of whether or not the low cost of an EV would incentivize Canadians to buy it in light of climate and charging issues. I suppose we saw it differently because of our backgrounds and areas of interest. Point being, I do not...
Before buying, see if the rear cross bar will support a decent amount of weight with the tailgate down (like a case of beer ) and not cause an issue with the seal when closing the tailgate after removing the item. I've had two different trifolds. The one on my 2018 F150 sagged slightly...
I use sport mode quite often when driving around town to keep the RPMs up... more fun and more battery charging. Also, no auto start/stop. Since I only drive 2K miles a year, the increased fuel cost is negligible.
Happy trails. No need to rationalize your decision. My motto is "see-like-buy"... if I can afford it plus have enough money for my wife to see-like-buy something costing the same. Happy wife, happy life.
Yup, any vehicle that both my wife and I will be driving must have memory for seat, steering wheel and side mirrors (rear view mirror memory would be nice, but not a must-have). She doesn't drive my Mav, so I wouldn't pay extra for memory on that, but it would be nice to have that as an option.
It's not for me since I'm retired and mostly use my Mav as a second car with occasional small-load hauling to the county dump site or local compost facility.
If you want fast acceleration, why dink around? Add a NOS.
