  1. Canadians can now buy Chinese EVs [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS & INSULTING BEHAVIOR]

I am in no way offended by political comments when the topic is politics. This thread didn't need to go that direction, but it did, and I'm just not interested in seeing it here. Facebook, yes. MTC, no.
  2. Canadians can now buy Chinese EVs [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS & INSULTING BEHAVIOR]

I didn't see the original post as political. I saw it as a discussion of whether or not the low cost of an EV would incentivize Canadians to buy it in light of climate and charging issues. I suppose we saw it differently because of our backgrounds and areas of interest. Point being, I do not...
  3. Canadians can now buy Chinese EVs [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS & INSULTING BEHAVIOR]

Didn't take long for this to get political, so I won't be following it.
  4. Canadians can now buy Chinese EVs [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS & INSULTING BEHAVIOR]

I too was thinking Canada's climate and infrastructure might not be suitable for EV's.
  5. Truck Bed Covers decision

Before buying, see if the rear cross bar will support a decent amount of weight with the tailgate down (like a case of beer ) and not cause an issue with the seal when closing the tailgate after removing the item. I've had two different trifolds. The one on my 2018 F150 sagged slightly...
  6. Truck Tried to Go Into Park As I Was Driving

That's some scary shit! Fortunately, my Mav seldom leaves town, so it's always close to home.
  7. Disable Gas Saver Feature (Auto Start Stop)?

True, but I opted for the 2.0 EB.
  8. Disable Gas Saver Feature (Auto Start Stop)?

I use sport mode quite often when driving around town to keep the RPMs up... more fun and more battery charging. Also, no auto start/stop. Since I only drive 2K miles a year, the increased fuel cost is negligible.
  9. So long

Happy trails. No need to rationalize your decision. My motto is "see-like-buy"... if I can afford it plus have enough money for my wife to see-like-buy something costing the same. Happy wife, happy life.
  10. 2028 RAM DAKOTA midsized pickup confirmed for US

If the truck bed is higher than the Mav's, it's probably not a competitor for those of us with bad backs.
  11. Actual compact truck spotted

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."
  12. Seat comfort

Yup, any vehicle that both my wife and I will be driving must have memory for seat, steering wheel and side mirrors (rear view mirror memory would be nice, but not a must-have). She doesn't drive my Mav, so I wouldn't pay extra for memory on that, but it would be nice to have that as an option.
  13. K Trucks (Kei Cars) - Would you buy?

It's not for me since I'm retired and mostly use my Mav as a second car with occasional small-load hauling to the county dump site or local compost facility.
  14. Towing package for better acceleration

If you want fast acceleration, why dink around? Add a NOS. https://www.pandamotorworks.com/products/nx-ford-4-cyl-nitrous-plate-system-2-3l-ecoboost?srsltid=AfmBOorekkDNSu1P3u8jwBJB8lVEl9EQjBo9-E7LcmmTtxUfU7daH6yb
  15. Trans noise while stopped in drive

Well, nobody else has said it, so I suppose it's up to me... when saying noise from the trans, is that someone in your truck or the transmission?
  16. Ford $30K Electric Truck. A winner?

A small EV Mav in the $30K - $40K price range would suit me just fine since I never drive my truck very far from home base.
