  1. Service engine oil light is a joke

" • Short trip usage, extreme temperatures – 3,000 to 5,000 miles" My truck does see short trips but also highway mileage and virtually nothing during extreme temperatures plus it is stored in a garage that is typically between 40 and 90 degrees. No towing so far and no heavy loads. The truck...
  2. Service engine oil light is a joke

I would love to see evidence of the fancy algorithm and multiple sensors that Ford is using to tell me when to change my oil. Please supply. My truck has less than 2000 miles since the last change with full synthetic but FordPass is telling me I have 22% oil life remaining and I need to change...
  3. Change Ford Pass Rewards Points Expiration Policy Changed

I did not get the email yet and have never used my points. Hopefully Ford is sending this to all owners.
  4. 2023 Oil Changes at 2200 miles

Similarly my GE refrigerator tells me I need a new filter every 6 months regardless of how much water and ice I have used.
  5. 2023 Oil Changes at 2200 miles

I did the first change with about 1100 miles in September 2023 and now the app is saying I need another change at about 3100 miles in September. Seems like the app is driven by dealer profit more than the condition of my truck and engine. The truck gets very easy use around town with light...
  6. 2023 Oil Changes at 2200 miles

There have been many discussions including on this forum about changing oil based on time. Mechanics I have spoken with do not think modern oils break down from time and they recommend replacing oil based on mileage. Not to say Ford would not like your dollars and recommend changing oil every year.
  7. Ford Maverick is Huge next to the Ford Courier

My B2000 was the single cab with the 7.5 foot bed so they might not have a drawing of that one. It was pretty rare.
  8. 24S27 tail lights recall complete, things to know

Mine was done in the garage and took about 20 minutes. Have not noticed any issues. He went around to each tire afterwards and did some kind of reset.
  9. 24S27 tail lights recall complete, things to know

How did they jack up an support your car to do the oil change and tires? I asked the guy that did my recalls and he did not know because that dealership is not doing those services yet.
  10. Auto start/stop fix ?

We had a long discussion about this before and I think the 70% charge figure is right- below that no S/S function and the battery management system only charges to 80% so you have a small window for it to work. If I charge mine using a battery tender it works for a day or two but that is it. I...
  11. Ecoboost random dead battery

I was checking my voltage last winter because my auto start/stop did not work. After fully charging with a battery tender it would drop a lot the next day and continue to drop- don't remember the exact numbers. I don't drive every day and mainly make short trips but so far have not had any...
  12. is the Maverick holding its value?

In Missouri you can sell privately and get the tax back as long as you sell within 6 months of your purchase. There is a simple form and it takes a few weeks to get the check.
  13. Auto start/stop hasn't been working

I did the same thing. I was concerned that the battery might not be getting enough charge to start when it was really cold last winter but never had any problem with starting or with any features. Heated seats and steering wheel worked immediately even when starting on a sub-freezing day. The...
  14. If you had to choose? F150 or Maverick

I loved my old Mazda mini-truck but wanted the modern features. I could have bought any truck although not that many would have fit in my garage. The Mav hauls what I need to haul now and is a lot easier for me to get in and out of than bigger trucks. Never had all the safety features before but...
  15. Illinois NOS Ford Maverick Escape Hybrid Engine Cover LX6Z6A949 B

Looks like that cover is for a hybrid.
  16. Dr. Will's 2022 Maverick XL FWD EcoBoost

I had a drop-in liner in my old Mazda and it was more durable- could drop anything onto it with no damage to the actual bed and it had some slip which is good and bad. Easier to slide boxes and things but stuff slid around more. Under the liner the bed was horrible- more rust than bed. I had...
  17. Turn Signal Recall

I don't think the dealer I bought from offers mobile service but I'm going to see who does. Even if they give me a ride home and pick me up it is still a pain and you lose your truck for the day. With my Infiniti there was never a repair that could not be handled quickly- almost always while I...
  18. Turn Signal Recall

I had seen something online and got my mail notice today. It says the repair should take less than a half day but dealer may need my vehicle for a longer time. I read this to mean dealers have so few techs trained to do these simple updates that I have to leave it there another day. Love the...
  19. Christmas is close. Let’s hear from from those with no complaints

Only have about 2000 miles on my ecoboost lariat but loving it. Only "problem" is the auto start/stop not working unless I charge the battery but don't really care about that feature. I have to say I love all of the safety features which I have never had before. Love the satellite radio.
  20. B2000

St. Louis MO area Maverick Club

I have not because I have not seen anything I like. Since my water is shut off outside for the winter I plan to hit the car wash after I drive through any salt. I'm retired so I don't have to drive on the crappy days or I can drive my older car. But I do want to try the all wheel drive!
