I have most of the higher end GPS's from Garmin...about as close to a professional GPS user as possible. Made and sell all the GPS coordinates for the Lewis and Clark Trail...80% dirt trails. My main unit is the Garmin Montana - Make most of my own latitude and longitude coordinates....my...
Have nothing constructive to suggest except I have 300 to 400 car wash dealers using our software and they tend to "have very bullet proof contracts/sign that hold them responsibility for pretty much NOTHING". Losing a customer over cost of windshield doesn't usually matter to them...they have...
So much misinformation about CarFax. Independent body and paint shops DO NOT HAVE to report to CarFax...lady backed into me last year and I told my body shop I did not want it reported to CarFax...and their response was it was so minor they would not have reported it anyway. My Ford Dealer has...
I have the 2022 Ford Branded OEM mud flaps (4 years old) and still look the same as the day I installed them...so far no effect on the paint...they're not even close to any painted surfaces. Maybe different OEM mud flaps...mine were ordered from Amazon but a Ford product....$37
I'd get at least a paste type wax (like Meguires). All kinds of stuff penetrate the paint if it is not beading water. If nothing else, paste wax just the hood. I always drive my vehicle around the block after washing to blow off the beaded water.
2022 Hybrid - tires Contential - 34,000....had another 5,000 miles available but wanted more traction in rain. But the Cont's were excellent on MPG....43.8 mpg. New Michelin Defenders clobbered my MPG to 38.8 mpg. Seems that the taller the tread the most loss of MPG.
yes - very cheap on Amazon. Mine were $30-$35+...plus an hour of my labor to install all 4 mud flaps. Most any mud flap will keep side paint cleaner from thrown up dirty road grime. Should have been included but it was a cost savings for Ford.......since it's an economy pickup...my dealer...
Rockbloks may have solved their problem...but mine lasted 30 days until hardware started rusting. Tossed them and went with the Amazon $ 37 - FORD OEM...they've been excellent after 4 years.
I'd guess ZERO chance it's Ford's responsibility.
The Maverick is an economy vehicle...with an economy paint job, probably two thin coats of color before Clear Coat. Most more expensive vehicles have 3 or 4 coats of color, sometimes 5 or 6 coats of color paint, then 1 clear coat.
Have sold computer to tire stores in the past and always check, and re-check with knowledgeable customers to get the scoop on best tires. Decided to bite the bullet and get what I was told was the best tire for traction, longest wear, and best handling. Have a Hybrid.
Went with the Michelin...
Google's definition of "Clear Coat":
Clear coat is a transparent, outermost layer of paint that acts as a protective shield for a vehicle’s color coat and primer, defending against UV rays, oxidation, scratches, and environmental contaminants like tree sap or bird droppings. It enhances gloss...
I'd talk to a paint pro - lost of body shops do body work and turn the painting over the a paint specialist (or paint employee)...I would suggest talking to a PAINT pro. Before experimenting and causing more paint damage. I'm confident that use of "Rust-o-Lem Tar & Wax Remover" applied by hand...
Looking at frame #33 this really looks like water drops were left on the paint and "something" (like tree sap) or minerals from your water/rain accumulated for days in wet spots may have damaged the clear coat/paint from the water drops sitting on the paint for days. It would be most helpful to...
Retired from the legal field...but where it comes up mostly...is vehicle manufacturers still have bumper specifications they are required to provide...Adding a hitch ball puts the burden of "excessive damage" on to the vehicle owner...Insurance companies are on the band wagon from paying for...
Surprising, but cities and states are making laws making it illegal to drive around with a trailer hitch hanging out due to excessive damage it can cause from a minor rear end bump. You can google it to see more and more states passing such laws.
I used to leave my trailer hitch in too, but...
These bumper guards REALLY DO work. Have used them for years...but some are much better than others...have to be made to cushion the impact. Saved me at least 2 or 3 times...It won't solve all hard bumps but will some. Only caution I had to make is the Mavrick is too long for my garage, and...
