2023 XLT hybrid w/ comma.ai box
170 mile highway drive @ 68.5 avg speed with a 95% adjustment already added to reduce truck calculated/displayed mpg.
Atkinson engine really performs in hot temps, a/c ran the whole time at 2 amps running (give or take). Compare that to my wintertime temps...
This is all good information. Yet my 1995 Volvo with a six year old Walmart $80 lead acid battery still cranks every time and cranks well. I drive it once a week, approximately 25 minutes, to and from the airport where it sits for 3-4 days and then I drive it back.
Notably, I keep a cheap 20w...
As someone who owned a ~100,000 model run European vehicle prior to the Maverick, I am ecstatic about the number of Mavs being produced. We should be close to one million on the road prior to the 2028 refresh, and the 2022-2027's share basically everything minus a few exterior body panels and...
Interesting. I noticed you have a '25, and OTA stands for over the air which yours has and mine does not. So not sure that will work for me, but I'll give it a try.
Yes, it's been an ongoing issue, just haven't made it to the dealer as I wanted Ford to finalize the fix before going, but starting to run out of time.
I'm just about to go in and get the camera update. I'd like to get whatever SSMs are available for my 2023 hybrid done while it's still under the 36 month warranty. I'm also tired of the lack of interior lights that come on despite keeping it on a charger when parked in my garage.
What are the...
Long shot but is anyone running BluePilot 6 and getting an error when initially turning the system on, but pressing the cruise control button again gets it working?
Have you done it on Ford hybrids or a Maverick hybrid before?
Ford's documentation says to attach a pressure tube to the brake system and cycle it with their software.
Yes, new stuff is ultra low viscosity to account for higher ABS cycle rates. It also absorbs water faster.
No, not a money grab (although 3 years may be if living in say AZ) due to the caustic nature of water in the ABS pumps. I know other hybrids like the Prius have failures in their systems...
IIRC the guy who did the originally retrofit had disconnects using CatV cable in hot weather. You need to be using automotive GXL wire, it's not that expensive.
Ford spec is 18g for everything but the ground IIRC, which was 20. I used 18 all around.
This is crazy, you guys are the first to do this on 2025+.
I can't exactly follow what you've done, try to do a good writeup with parts maybe in a new thread for 2025+ MY's especially for that pin connector.
The steering wheel comes out easy, there are various videos on Youtube about replacing...
If you read the post i responded to you'll see why I wrote what I did.
This doesn't apply to your situation.
I also park mine in the garage, vehicles last much longer when they are. When I park for an extended time outside I put sun shades in every window as well.
Are you running a lawn care business??
Either they park their trailer in their garage or park everything outside. My neighbor actually runs a lawn care company and parks his truck outside and trailer in he garage.
The lowest operating cost truck will probably end up being a well used Ford F150 or similar with cheap insurance that is beat to hell but easily fixed with cheap, massively available parts.
