Absolutely correct. The only time I have not been able to get my AWD Maverick to move, it was on a slope covered with damp grass. Turned off the traction control, and there was no problem at all getting going.
Why do you say: "Ford has a no-corrosion warranty"? While this may not be ideal, there is a warranty:
According to Ford's current warranty information, the 2025 model year corrosion warranty covers body sheet metal panels against corrosion due to manufacturing defects for 5 years with unlimited...
The thing most are not saying is if they are posting the truck's computer mpg, or posting actual/calculated mpg. The computers on just about all vehicles these days err on the optimistic side. On my Maverick the truck's computer is about 3mpg high when compared to actual.
I've charted mine since day one, on Fuelly. With quite a few hills, and 60/40 city/highway, I'm at 22.5mpg actual. If you go by what the truck's computer says, it's more like 25. It always reads high.
The best actual was 24.9 mpg, and that was almost all highway.
If the new wheels already have TPMS sensors, just put the new wheel/tires on the truck. The truck will automatically pick up the TPMS transmitters. Then it's a 5 minute job to assign the correct positions, if that';s important to you (this is whathey call "recalibrating"). They charge a lot for...
They make small (external) diameter lug nuts for just that reason. They are splined and use a very thin wall socket. I am shocked that the tire store doesn't know about these! https://backcountrybronco.com/cdn/shop/products/7cea913c059fce5a372010580746be85.jpg?v=1704648048
They make "hub-centric" rings to adapt a large wheel bore to a smaller hub. Adapters upon adapters...
You might contact that company, I'll bet they can make any size/configuration.
An 1 1/2" spacer will work, if it's the kind that is actually an "adapter". Here is one, but it's only up to 1 1/4" thick. https://ezaccessory.com/collections/5x4-25-108mm-wheel-adapters
With BAP you'll still have a lot of blue inside, most of the hard plastic. Unless Ford has changed it since last year. I have BAP on mine, and love the black seats, and the blue/grey interior stuff goes nicely with the Azure-grey exterior.
Ford has been throwing new batteries at faulty electrical systems for a couple decades now. I had 2 Fusions (not even hybids) an '07 and a '10. They both went thru 3 batteries , under warranty. I didn't keep either one long enough for them to be out of warranty. Seems as if the "techs" at the...
Ford should never build anything green with a blue interior. That's awful, IMHO. Can't believe they don't give you a choice... it should be all black inside, or maybe even grey. Sorry. I still love the Eruption Green though.
