All Mavericks without the BAP are supposed to have blue Ford badges. There was never a "total change" to anything. However, some non-BAP trucks seem to have received black Ford badges. Probably a mistake.
They do not sell ethanol-free gas here in Connecticut, it's gasohol or nothing at the gas stations. So the answer is add Stabil or Lucas treatment. Key is to mix it with some gas before dumping it in, then make sure you run the engine to get it into the carburetor too. Never had a problem with...
Someone mentioned that there is no air in a gas tank. Maybe more than one person has stated this. Air has to go in when you pump fuel out. Unless the tank collapses (which won't/can't happen).
Same law here, but I have not installed a front plate for a very, very long time. Cops don't pull you over around here unless you are violating traffic laws (speeding, DWI, running red lights...)
My Dad's way might be "mythical", as you say. And I do understand how modern fuel sytems work. But it won't hurt anything to keep it over 1/4 tank. Besides, it's good to be be prepared. I mean, you have more than one can of soup in the cupboad, right?
I always was told that it's not good to run it below 1/4 tank, by my Dad. I always thought he was a very smart man. So I've always played by those rules. I'm pretty sure it's so you don' suck up water or debris off the bottom of the tank. Or so that water, or ice don't form due to condensation...
Every time I start the truck the Navigation screen pops up and it is loading a route. I red-X it away, but it comes back every time the truck is re-started. I even went into "history" to see where it is picking this up from, but history shows no saved routes. This info/entertainment system...
What a piss-poor design. All those fittings, clamps, & brackets for a couple stupid vents. Didn't they ever see the vents used about 60-70 yeras ago? They still use these on axles today.
That would bother me too. Especially if there were a device nearby that seems to be missing a hose. Go find another '25 Ecobost on a dealer lot and take a look.
I was just trying to correct your idea that 45-series tires would only be found on an exotic sports car. 45-series are widely used on many plain old sedans these days.
