when i first took delivery of my truck it had some issues with the radio. a couple of months later, at the first oil change (in my home shop) i was able to connect my truck to my home wifi and download an update from ford that cured all my prior radio problems. i figure every oil change i will...
i forgot about neon license plate frames!
i ran them on the porsche i used in endurance racing in the late 80's to early 90's as an "easier to identify my car on track at night" amongst all the sea of headlight glare.
i'm not particular either way on my little pony. i doubt i would ever open it! it's not like the old mini trucks that we would reach right over our shoulder to open the latch and slide it.....
let me know if you find a glass guy and what he would charge.
the maverick is not "easier" to steal than any other vehicle. a towtruck can have it loaded very quickly no matter what anti-theft devices you install.
the FWD Maverick is a much better platform for those types of adverse conditions than a RWD pickup. think back to when vw bugs were made into dune buggies, the engine over the driven wheels was a benefit on soft terrain.
i will be HPDE instructing for Porsche that weekend at COTA in Austin. Looking forward to feeling the difference my new holley terminator efi makes on my old mustang vs the 20 year old atomic system i replaced. see ya'll at the next one.
regarding Southwells,
i noticed on the back of an HEB receipt it had a "Buy One Hamburger Get One Free" coupon and my wife and i easily redeemed it at the last get together.
they are 2wd escape springs, which i dont recommend. wait for the eibach's. the ride is very harsh and you have to buy the escape lower insulator for one side in the rear due to one of the maverick springs having an opposite direction wind on one side.
when i picked up my ordered maverick at the dealer i had never even seen one in person let alone sat in one. i recall my first thought when i sat in mine was "'this thing is huge" with a bit of disappointment which quickly subsided after i became acclimated.
mind you, i hadn't driven a pickup...
i'm over 60. in the 80's i had a hotrod rabbit truck, a new Isuzu lowered on MB-AMG wheels i made adapters to fit and in 90 i bought a new Toyota and machined supra wheels to fit. i haven't owned a mini truck since then. my maverick today.
hey houston!
FYI, i noticed on the back of my HEB receipt after grocery shopping that it has a BOGO free coupon for a burger at Southwells. i'll be redeeming mine next saturday.
