  1. No Toyota Compact trucks in the future.

They sold more, so objectively not a disaster. All things changed were an improvement, larger screen, higher quality headlights, larger trans, and AWD offered in every powertrain. Losing the hard climate buttons is so a non-issue. I bought one due to efficiency with hauling capabilities. I...
  2. No Toyota Compact trucks in the future.

It is almost like people don't understand inflation and how our economy works...can't be that.
  3. Out in the boonies today…

There be Heart Mtn. I'm in Clark.
  4. Black Lug Nuts

I use the website Lugnutguys.com All the aftermarket style lugs I've gotten from them are of good quality. Be aware that the black is a coating and can be damaged during installation. I personally don't care and use impacts all the time. But if you do care run them on by hand and use a...
  5. Lowering parts check- 2025 Hybrid AWD

Since your going with similar tires, just did math for mileage, the 255/45r20 tires put the mileage calcs off by 2.8%. My known route is 430 miles and the mav showed 418 miles. The computer knows how much fuel it uses but the diameter of the tire being larger means it has traveled more than...
  6. RC soft Tonneau cover question

^^^^^ I used your suggestion, cut down some square one. I'll be trying it out this evening at sustained 80mph for hours.
  7. Can I drive my 2025 Hybrid fwd Maverick 36 hours cross country?

Both electric motors/generators are in the transmission. The transmission is exactly the same on both FWD and AWD, there is just a PTU bolted on the AWD between it and the passenger side wheel. The rear axle is driven mechanically from the PTU to the rear differential with a good old fashion...
  8. Keys can be locked in the truck.

^^^^^ Yeah just playing with the lever lock there is minute movement, like a 1/4" range from lock to unlock. With my Bronco, the Bronco's is harder to move and a little more range. Both a far cry from the knobs on top of the door card they made back in the day.
  9. Lowering parts check- 2025 Hybrid AWD

I've made the first leg of my commute (West to East) and the mileage is more affected by wind, elevation change, and temp than anything else. Of course, there was a MPG penality for the tires but I'm thinking at this point it is noise to the equation. To many other large factors that cover up...
  10. Winter Wheels And Tires - What's Your Setup?

Then you don't know what you don't know.
  11. Part number for front splash pan clips

That is a solid guess, however I was using a 1/4" ratchet held at the head and still had two of those clips strip out on me and I have a calibrated wrist. Anyone using a power tool or going roughshod will certainly take a few out. I contribute it to a $20K truck design.
  12. Can I drive my 2025 Hybrid fwd Maverick 36 hours cross country?

Any properly functioning car can do what it is rated for without over heating. The AWD has nothing to do with the electric motors, they operate the same if FWD or AWD. The rear drive shaft is disengaged at anything above low speed unless slip is detected then it will engage as the computer...
  13. Keys can be locked in the truck.

I like to go keyless myself, in every aspect of life. Door keypad is the answer, I don't care if it locks or not. Leaving the FOB inside and locking the doors is a feature, not a bug. I was keyless till I bought this XL, and they gave me this strange switchblade piece of metal with carvings...
  14. Part number for front splash pan clips

I'm in need myself. Two stripped out on my when I did the first fluid change and I lost two cowl clips when I removed my front springs.
  15. Lowering parts check- 2025 Hybrid AWD

20x9 Axis Sport AX3-5 BLK Tirerack.com brand that has been discontinued. I got them on clearance. Agreed. I have gotten a baseline for my commute and we'll see how much of a penality I pay to look good.
  16. Winter Wheels And Tires - What's Your Setup?

That is mostly incorrect. The newest cars can figure out if you have rotated tires but they can not/will not put new sensor ID's into the car's computer by magic. If your snow tires/rims have cloned sensors that have the same four ID's as your other set, the suggestion would work. If the...
  17. Tremor bad azz front end and opinion.

No hate here, if you need the light it looks good. I would offer that using clear hard covers is the way to go as you will never pull the covers off, so you'll never use the lights.
  18. RC soft Tonneau cover question

I have a Rough Country soft cover, the female portion of the plastic snap buckles rattle against the back glass at highway speeds. Anyone find a fix for this annoyance? I'm thinking of velco but not sure how long an adheasive will last on the vinyl while in the weather. With the unibody...
  19. Lowering parts check- 2025 Hybrid AWD

Got the rims and all-seasons on this weekend. The rim size works well with the suspension mods, all are listed in the first post.
  20. Colorado WTB wheel take-offs, Denver area

Just looking for a good deal on some take-offs. 19's would be my least choice but not a deal breaker. I believe in '24 there were only 17 and 18's offered.
