Well there are plenty of Western made automotive tires out there. However, one is hard pressed to find a trailer tire that is not made in Asia. Even the ones sold by a Western company have them made in Asia.
You are good up to 30" diameter, anything above that you have to start trimming the pinch seam. My trucklett is -2" in front and -2.6" in rear and running 29" tires.
Did my usual weekly commute to my home last night. Usually can do from my work location to my door on one tank, temps were between 12-19F the whole way, patchy snow, litte to no wind. I used 1 & 3/4 tanks of fuel. Just sayin' cold affects these little Mavs. No issues other than MPG.

Just did my third oil change and second change on the PTU and RDU @ 4400 miles.
Good news first, the PTU was fine, just a little smear of metal on the magnet, used about 12oz. for the change. The not so good news,,,, the RDU mag was covered, but not built up, and oil had grey tint. I use...
I was looking into flat towing the Mav a few weeks ago. Researched what was legally required, legally a flat toad is a trailer and must meet all trailer requirements. Braking and the breakaway is the hardest capability to add in a toad setup. During my research I was shocked how many people...
Ok, they did a lot of engineering but taking away truck attributes is a non-starter. I look forward to the day where aerodynamics is not a major factor in a design, meaning we have enough power available that this is a non-issue.
A truck should have ground clearance and articulation for...
Valvoline Full Synthetic Hybrid Transmission Fluid is not a ULV fluid, and Ford calls for ULV in both trans offered in the Mav.
Valvoline does make a ULV, which may be an option if it meets the specs.
Then why does he not know the higher the numerical ratio number the "lower" the gear? He gets this wrong on every video talking about gearing. My point being is if he does not know this fundamental mechanial engineering principle, there is a good chance he is not a formally educated M.E.. I...
Well, to the OP's title... it may seem closer till you realize you are comparing the EB's best numbers to the hybrid's worst. The EB can get 32ish on the highway, well so can the hybrid, now let's see the EB get 50-60 in town. Oh, yeah, that's right it gets 15....
The EB is a "sport truck"...
I was about to start a thread on this issue but found this new one instead. Wish we had a list of what qualifications create a double honk reaction in the logic.
Let me say that forscan should be able to disable all double honks. So far, just been to lazy to mess with it. Still putting up...
Two things to remember. 1. He is a presenter not an engineer. I have found several incorrect statements in his videos; at the same time most of the info is accurate and entertaining. 2. It matters how you drive the hybrid, a heavy foot is going to keep the gas motor on when others...
Yes, I'm acutally an enthusiast, I like all kinds of horsepower. I've spent a good portion of my 40 years of working in industrial maintenance and happen to be a certified machinist along with a myriad of other technical things. Some decades later I make my living from my acedemic degrees via...
